This is the game the Texans get back on track. The transition to playoff football is what sparks the Texans out of their slump. The story of the 2012 season won't be that they peaked too early, it will be that they got all of the bad football out of their system at just the right time. The Texans roll the Bengals tomorrow, setting up a chance to upset the Pats next week and make a deep playoff run.

I think the fans do bring the energy. Sometimes it's late starting for fans getting in from their tailgate. But it's usually there. And it will definitely be there at the start of a playoff game.

But the fans feed off the team, as well. If the team comes out flat, that's is deflating to the fans. That's just the way it is. The Texans need to make something happen early, and keep the fans up. No matter how disappointing the past month has been, we want to win this game. It's on the team to make plays and keep the vibe positive.

The Houston Texans are 12-4. They may not have played their best football recently but over the course of this season this is the best football team this city has ever had. Tomorrow the good Texans come home and show Reliant Stadium they've still got Nawlins on their minds this season.
