The Texans have a chance next week at home against the Bengals. (It's disgusting that they have to play at all next week, though.) But after that, on the road in Denver or Foxboro? Eek.

And don't say "but the Texans have beaten the Broncos this season". They were two different teams when they played.

Should the Texans just give their playoff spot up to one of the other teams then? If I didn't know better, I would think that the Texans are 2-14

This team is not the Oilers. Most of these players knew nothing of the Oilers before coming to play here. However, the real thing about that is, people have this amazing ability to recognize patterns. So even if this team isn't the Oilers, we Houstonians that have lived here long enough recognize this pattern. We've seen this before. Sure, there were differences, starting with the colors and logo. But we've seen a pattern close enough to this before to raise red flags.

So when people argue that this team isn't the Oilers, they're right. But that's hardly the point.

Kubiak just said "he's happy to be in the playoffs".. and said this guy is happy. I know you don't have to be a defeatist after a game like this, but don't tell me "you're happy" either. Don't take a plate of chicken ____, sprinkle a little lettuce on it and try to feed it to me. And what the hell was up with our challenge? Can our coaches not count now? That reeked of incompetence.

Nothing like that at all. The Steelers were more talented across the board. The Oilers overachieved to hang with them. The Texans have more talent than the Colts. They underachieved.
