Playoff Question

When will we know if or what games we will be playing for sure here at home during the playoffs. I know we got 2 sets of playoff tickets but they are not 100% playing here yet are they?

It's going to depend on the game Sunday. Win and every playoff game the Texans are in will be at home. Lose and at least one at home.

cool. if we lose, which we wont, but if we do, we wont know which one is at home until when?

If we lose this Sunday, we'll be 3rd seed, so we'll get the 6th seed, which is the Bengals.

If we win this Sunday, we'll be 1st seed and get the winner of the Ravens/Colts playoff game.

There is still a slight chance that the Patriots end up as the 4 seed (Ravens win, Pats lose). Also, if Houston is the 1 seed and the Bengals upset the 3 seed, Houston would play the Bengals. They will just play the lowest seeded team still in the playoffs.

Not entirely true. We could get the 2nd if we lose and the Pats or Broncos lose.
We could still get the 1st if all of us lose.

We won't know when we play until after the afternoon games.

If it flip-flops like it has the past couple of seasons (as far back as I've bothered to look) and the times remain the same like they have, then the schedule will be like this:

AFC Wild Card - 7:00 CT

Sunday, Jan. 6
AFC Wild Card - noon CT
NFC Wild Card - 3:30 CT

Saturday, Jan. 12
AFC Divisional Playoff - 3:30 CT
NFC Divisional Playoff - 7:00 CT

Sunday, Jan. 13
NFC Divisional Playoff - noon CT
AFC Divisional Playoff - 3:30 CT

Sunday, Jan. 20
NFC Championship - 2:00 CT
AFC Championship - 5:30 CT

If the Texans get the 3 seed and lose the bye, I'd almost bet they get the noon Sunday slot as opposed to the primetime Saturday slot.

If the Texans get the bye, they'll be playing at 3:30 either Saturday or Sunday the 12th or 13th.
