Elvis when he was fat and on drugs in Vegas at the end of his career/life, he had that penthouse suite at the casino where he performed.
Jimmy Dean went up there to see him about maybe writing a song for him or some such stuff. Elvis didn't come out from his bedroom to see Jimmy Dean until like a long long time. Outrageously long. When Elvis emerged, Jimmy was incensed and screamed and said to Elvis "I oughtta' just walk right out of here for treating me like this, Elvis!" Elvis drew a pistol from his hip holster and shoved to Jimmy' head and said cooly "I oughtta' blow your damn head off for talking to me like that, Jimmy." Jimmy proceeds to **** his pants right then and there. Elvis, as quickly as he ended that sentence, holsters his pistol, slaps Jimmy on the back and says, while laughing a belly laugh, "Aw hell, Jimmy. I'm just kidding you. What did you want to talk about?" Yeah, basically Jim Rome needs a Jimmy Dean moment again. IMO. JJ Watt could pull that off, too. Minus the firearm, of course.

They have lost to all of the Playoff teams they have faced, and please do not give me the "They were getting used to Peyton" bit and have gotten better either. Aren't the other teams that already beat them also better now. or is it only the Broncos who get better as the season progresses? My take on Rome and Peter King is that hey are both blow hards. Rome more than King, but blow hards just the same. Hasn't King always been a Peyton fan boy?

Due to injury, the Texans, Patriots, & Ravens are not as good as the teams they were 4 weeks ago. We're still pretty good, I think better off than the Pats & the Ravens & I'd put money on those games were we to play them now (or Monday). But if we were playing the Broncos now, I think it will be a longshot for us to win.

I think we're going to get some players back before the play-offs. I believe the reserve guys who were forced into play will be better than they are now by the time we get to our play-off games. So all is not lost. The people questioning our defense over the last 3 games aren't making stuff up, there are concerns. Our offense has been showing issues with staying on the field recently. We are not playing our best football right now & anyone who thinks differently is fooling themselves.

1) Our defense, because of injuries, is not as good. 2) Peyton has gotten better, much better. |

Does every team in the NFL look at other teams and protest that they aren't playing anybody...??

There's New England and Houston in the top tier. I've got Baltimore and Denver in the second tier. Then there's teams like the Bengals and Colts who are the favorites for Wild Card berths. They're tier 3. I think that's fair. There's been enough reg season to say that, records and "how a team wins" aside, we can tell which teams are in those tiers.
