The guys on 610 were chatting about that this morning. The reason they came up with - and it makes a little sense to me - is that Foster is getting so many carries (what is it, 24-26 carries/game?) that the offensive braintrust doesn't that they don't want to use him up with 5-6 extra touches on pass plays. So O.D., Casey, and Graham are getting the looks that went to Foster last year.

Like I said, makes a bit of sense to me especially with Tate currently unavailable ...and not really producing that much when he was.

I went back and watched that play again on dvr and it served as another teaching moment in the offensive genius of Gary Kubiak.

The player in question Kevin Walter, but he really wasn't wide open (though he was open) until after it was obvious to every Bills defender that the pass was going to an uncovered OD down the right sideline, at which point they all went into OH CRAP panic scramble mode.

The Bills were completely owned by Kubes on that play. The Texans have run the bootleg misdirection with such effective consistency that when the entire offense moved hard to the strong side with Schaub bootlegging in the pocket, the Bills reacted by doubling both backcutting WRs (AJ and Walter) with safeties. Walter looked wide open on that play because he'd beaten his man coverage by a step or two, but as soon as that trailing CB saw Schaub stop and look down the right side, he broke off his coverage to help against the open TE running down the sideline. Too late, though, because the ball was on its way to OD and the Bills were all hopelessly trying to get over to the completely uncovered deep right zone.

It was just a brilliant play call by Kubiak and Co.

I had stated in the film study thread that I will be on vacation but Vinny either didn't see it so he assumed the worst. I'm at Sam Rayburn lake where the internet is very spotty. Just to clarify things, I've always said that I don't hold a grudge. I say what I need to say and move on. It's amazing here in East Texas in the Fall but I can't wait to come back to Texans football.
