I think the stint in SF had more of an influence on Kubiak. The 80's Elway Broncos were often in the shotgun (Landry influence), but Walsh's WCO eschewed the shotgun. While Shanny has reverted back to a lot of shotgun with RGIII, Kubiak rarely uses it unless it is a sure passing down.

Interesting stuff again. I think Kubiak's O lends itself to lower draft picks because players who need time to develop anyway don't lose much to players who are "NFL ready" because it'll take time to learn the system anyway.

This helps us to stockpile picks on D which is also a good thing. Kubiak needs to make sure he keeps Wade's disciples close to him going forward and ensure that he moves away from the D coaching tree he's had over the years to ensure he's coaching that talent up and getting the most out of the other side of the ball.

When the team has a lead and is simply looking to run out the game, you can tell that Kubiak isn't as in his element doing that, he has nothing to set up and nothing thats been set up that he can use.

I think it is interesting to see the playcalling differences from Kubiak's first season to now. There was a lot of WR screens, sideline out routes, etc. Kubes realized that Schaub can't make the out throw and has adapted. It's good to see the offense adapting to the personnel. When Yates was back there last year I saw a few outs added into the mix.
I think the great thing about Kubes is that he spreads the receivers out and gets separation with just a small amount of hesitation by the defense from play action
