Guys, I have been thinking a lot this bye week about what we can do against Mario on Sunday, and I can't think of anyone on our team that will neutralize him. I know he has a bum wrist and all, but he always performed extraordinarily through injuries while with the Texans. The stats don't lie, he had 53 sacks while with the Texans, 46.72 of which were while he was listed on injury reports. He plays through injuries so well, that I just don't think we will be able to stop him with the likes of Newton and Caldwell on the right side. He will rip through our o-line like the Mongols going through the Great Wall of China!
Did you see what he did to Matt Hasslebeck last week? He was constantly getting pressure and was only a few steps away from Hasselbeck every pass. Had Matt been holding the ball another 3-5 seconds, Mario would have knocked his lights out. Matt was just too intimidated by Mario's presence, which is why he threw the ball so quickly. He was scared of getting hit, and it almost made the Titans lose. This is why I think it would be best if we just forfeited the game and avoid any chance of Mario hurting one of our guys. He's just such a monster, he's like Gamera, The Tin Man and Aquaman all rolled up into one man! Just look at this guy, he has his own cereal! We can't compete with that!!! ![]() If this thread doesn't make sense, check this one for reference... http://www.texanstalk.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=84418& |

This. I'm pretty sure it's the inverse of when we used to have threads calling MW a punk so he would respond and have a rare dominant game.

You all can hate on Mario all you want, but that's an o-face any porn director would be proud to work with.

I knew that wasn't milk in the cereal. Explains how he injured his wrist.

It's limited edition because the cereals flavor takes plays off and every year the cardboard tears too easily.

And THAT my friend makes him all the more dangerous. Nobody will see him coming from the bench in sweats. Matt will have to be at the top of his game to scheme around that kind of defense.
But it appears he's playing with a cast. Do I understand that correctly? Well if so then he's even more dangerous than when we thought he'd be on the bench and much more dangerous than when we thought he'd be playing to begin with. It's like he zigged AND THEN HE ZAGGED!

Yeah, Mario always had some minor injury to explain why he wasn't producing. One year it was his toe, one year it was his planter faciata (sp?), etc.... The bottom line is Mario doesn't like to play football, he likes what football brings to him. Mario's production will never be as high as his potential.

Whoever's at RT better step up. I don't see them lining MW over Duane much. Look for overloads to help him shine.

I'm not one of them, but there is an element of Texans fans who think Schaub holds the ball too long. Not 5 seconds too long, but too long just the same. I don't think Schaub is easily intimidated, but he has a tendency to rush sometimes, throwing off his timing. Totally independent of the pass rush, it's more of a rhythm thing. The key is going to be their secondary. I'm assuming they are pretty bad, like I said the front four is a talented bunch. But if they are as bad as I'm thinking they have to be, maybe Andre will get back on track & KDub will back up his performance vs the Ravens.
