The worst part to me of this little experiment not working is that we had to put Grimes on the PS to make room for him and lost him in the process.

If they put the back up G at KR he'd probably know to take a knee 8 yards deep with the kicking team bearing down on you.

Hell tha G could probably pick up more than 8 yards if he took the ball out.

He is not that easy to replace. Texans don't want to expose Manning to injury (best KR option) maybe Forsett could field punts, but nobody else has his speed. I don't think Kubiak would make a change anyway until after the bye week. So y'all just have fun ripping Holliday til then but count me out

You serious? What's the worse that comes out of this, we miss out on starting at our own 9 yard line every time we return the ball? Hell, with us blocking in the back every punt return we'd be better off not returning punts either.

I bet he would have destroyed our coverage team. Our coverage team sucks. I was a strong supporter based on what he did in college and then what he did in the preseason this year. Buuuuuut shortly after the first game slowed down to about 85% to look for lanes that were no longer there. He has the ability to take it to the house, he just needed a return team that could handle their job. I don't care who you put back there now, if something isn't done about our return/coverage teams, our returner is going to be limited at best, and we are going to continue to give up 35 yard returns. If we're going to suck, then there's no reason for him to hold a roster spot when you can put anyone back there to catch the ball and just kneel it.
