Since the beginning of the season, I thought that the real tests would start with the Jets. They have not proven to be a tough team this year, but MNF games are always an extra boost for the home teams, so I think that if we go into NY and win, we've cleared a hurdle. Then I think that the Packers, Ravens, Bears and Patriots will give us a sense of how competitive the Texans truly are.

The Ravens would be the first game this year where I think people will be forced to say that we beat a playoff team.

I dont buy into all that crap though. Winning consistently in this league is hard.. REAL hard.. and there is no such thing as an easy game. Look at the packers and saints. Those are good teams that cant seem to win this year.

Our "real test" is continuing to win every week in the NFL. So far.. we have passed.

I'm happy to see the Colts take down the mighty Packers. Losing to a team that bad will demoralize them and make it easier for the Texans to win Sunday night. It also makes our division look slightly better and may help our strength of schedule down the road if we happen to fall into a tiebreaker.

As long as our "boys" just take care of business, ONE GAME at a time, we'll be fine. If they don't, we can beat the best or lose to the weakest, on any given Sunday/Monday/Thursday. Just stay focused on the "next up!"

There's really no "bad" teams in the NFL, certainly not in terms of raw talent.
It's been said many times and it's true that there's not that much difference in talent between the teams with the worst records in the league and those with the best records. The difference is in the experience, especially the experience and talent of the teams QB, and the Colts young QB is well known as a
quick-study.

It seems to me that two things are happening here, Indy is a better team than we give them credit for and the Packers just aren't as good as every one thinks they are. The Packers defense is giving up a ton of points.

Agree. The Packers defense last year was not very good, but they survived by outscoring teams. This year the cracks are showing. Indy is a better team than the train wreck they were last year.

Even so, the Packers could have tied it if they didn't miss the field goal at the end of the game.

I'm hoping by the end of the season, the Indy games are going to be a nonfactor in our playoff standing.

We'll beat both those teams. I watched the whole game, and for whatever reason...the Green Bay defense has looked terrible this year. Secondary is the biggest issue there.

The Colts have Drew Bledsoe at QB. He's accurate, big arm, commanding presence and stuff. But he's no Peyton Manning. Not even close. Peyton is in another league, and Andrew Luck--although he's pretty talented--is just not scaring me. He was taking shots, he got picked off, he's human.

I won't predict a sweep of the Colts, but we'll take at least one game from them. We're going to beat the Packers. We're going to beat the Ravens too.

Silly thread, silly posts in here.

If anything, this just made that game even tougher for the Texans. GB will be playing for their division next week. they can't go down 2-4 this early into the season with the Bears and Vikings at 4-1 (potentially) and expect to have a chance at the division.

Luck is gonna be good in the future. But it's gonna take him 2-3 years to show his top end.
I don't think he's gonna be Peyton, but my guess is he's gonna be one of the best QBs in the AFC.

It's not nonsense but having said that it's also not carved in stone either.

This is an emotional game and most teams ride a roller coaster all season long. That's why trap games exist, that's why teams like Oakland come into Reliant last year and beat the Texans after Al Davis dies. Human motivation is affected by all kinds of things. Good teams that have seemingly underperformed and have their backs against the wall do often pull together and win to turn things around.

Just as often you see them continue their slide because there are fundamental problems with their roster. Maybe they're getting old (Pittsburgh) or maybe they're not as talented as everyone thought they were (Hopefully the Jets) or maybe they have **** for chemistry despite all their talent (Philly). Regardless you don't know what you're going to get until the game starts, at least not in week 5. There's still too much time for good teams to turn things around.

What the Texans have to do is get out there and not give them any hope. Get on the Packers early and make sure that they know they're a 2-3 team on the way down from the opening kickoff. Get the crowd into it and turn Reliant into the Packers own personal hell on the road.

But it's not nonsense. Let the Texans come in there all expecting to win against the ****ty 2-3 Packers and they'll get to .500 and we'll be bitching about how we lost to them.

I think the Colts were extra motivated this week and in the NFL it doesn't take much to close the gap between the good and the bad.

I think it speaks more to the Colts mindset than the Packers deficiencies.

I think you don't write off Rodgers the same way you don't write off Manning.

Sanchize and Tebow, they you can write off.
