Los Angeles will get two teams. They'll get one now, then wait several years until the first team builds a football fan base, and they'll get another one. Sorry Jags fans, but it's time to face the truth: Jacksonville is not an NFL market. |

They are playing at the Metrodome until 2014. 2015 they are playing at University of Minnesota, and in 2016 they will move to their new stadium.

I am. And trust me, it's the stupidity involved. People here are unbelievably aloof, clueless, idiotic, trendy, and annoying. Don't believe me? Look at Los Angeles Lakers fans, who are EASILY the most insufferable, inarticulate, uninformed, ridiculous fan base in all of North American sports. "Oh broooooo did you see that game last night broooooo?" I really don't know how to describe it if you don't live here or know what the ****heads here are like. Not to mention football doesn't work here. It simply doesn't. A) So many people here are so unbelievably douchified and bandwagony that they won't care unless the team is doing good, and even then, who knows. B) Most people here are either Charger or Raider fans already. Just, stay away from LA. LA doesn't DESERVE a team. Let alone two. This place is a cesspool of monumental proportions. Take the NFL to a place that won't be overshadowed by "the latest club brooooo" or "omg the beachhhhh" Though, I guess it'll happen. Hopefully I move by the time they come. And hopefully it won't be too ridiculous when they move within 10 years after opening up shop. I'd love for Los Angeles to take another monetary hit and have an empty stadium that ends up worthless. Ahhhh, that would be great. |

I was at the Bucs/Skins game yesterday and honestly I can see why NFL teams in Florida have issues selling tix. The Bucs game experience is really good (tailgating, etc) however once you are in that stadium it is HOT and humid.
This was a 4:30 start and it got bearable once the sun went below the stands however before that it was pretty miserable. I can only imagine a 1 o'clock start. I went also went to the Texans/Jags game a couple of weeks ago and it was even worse (until the rain started). Personally I would prefer to watch the game on my HDTV next to the pool than go to any of these stadiums here where not only am I burning myself up but also my wallet. Tack on the teams struggling and it's easy to see why fans around here stay at home on Sundays. I haven't been to a Dolphins game but I know Miami is even hotter. |
