I hate to point this out. We drafted him LAST year. He was on the 53 and, iirc, dressed for all the games. He played in some jumbo packages, I think.

So, he's not a rook.

And I've said this before and I'll probably say it again, but I think it was Newton's development last year that made them think Winston was expendable.

From the part of the game that I was able to actually watch (everything AFTER Arian's TD), he looked like he did a pretty good job and that's why I was surprised to see him off the field at the end of the game and Harris out there as the RT.

Maybe they're made at Newton over the safety, but Winston would have made the same mistake anyway.

Probably wanted to avoid any more holding calls. I think that had more to do with it than the safety/sack.

Newton played the second half of the Titans game last season.
We scored 10 points in the first half and 12 points in the second half.
We gained 151 yards in the first half and 236 yards in the second.

I think the altitude may have something to do with it (Harris' playing).
I had suggested that Newton might benefit by having another OT giving a breather, so it's not a big deal here.

We should expect a little bump here and there along the road.
