I want to see the Texans win.
...preferably by double digits. Icing on the cake would be our D sacking Manning three or four times and forcing Manning into throwing a pick-six or one of those sacks ending in a scoop and score for Cushing or Mercilus (or anybody, he'll I don't care). ...maybe our O controlling time of possession as we did in the Jags game. But mostly I want to see us get that road win and be 3-0. EDIT: OBTW, Since I own Schaub, A.J., and K-Martin in my FFL, I wouldn't be unhappy with Schaub tossing a couple of TDs to each of them...

Obviously a WIN!
But 2 keys for me on Sunday. 1) Can we establish the run against what looks to be a very stout run D this year. Or will our new parts on the O-line break down? 2) How will the middle of our D stand up against the run with James at ILB. Denver can run the ball very well and McGahee looks primed for a big year. Running the ball and stopping the run against Denver will tell us alot about the question marks we had coming into the season. |

Schaub helping himself avoid sacks. Watching the Pittsburgh game, the Broncos DEs always took the long wide arc route around.......and Big Ben seemed to always avoid their rush by simply taking one step into the pocket. When Schaub is not in play action, this is what I want him to do......be aware of his surroundings. The interior of our Oline should be able to give Schaub time against their Dline.
Denver's D has not been greatly challenged so far with any elite RBs. Arian/Tate should be able to slice and dice. And we easily should have 100+ yds on the ground. Denver will not put even Champ Bailey on the island with AJ, which should open up the rest of the field to be defended by much more vulnerable secondary. That should allow Schaub that short and long "experimentation factor." Three hundred plus yds in the air would not surprise me. If we get 28 points on the board, and the middle of our D doesn't collapse to McGahee, our problem with their clipped wing-bird should be handled handily by an "aware" Wade D. |
