Did anyone else hear the story the announcers were telling about JJ Watt playing volleyball twice a week to get his pass defend timing down?

I was thinking to myself "Now thats a great idea." Reminded me of Antonio Gates and his basketball career.

Also, I much prefer this nickname to "Bulls on Parade." Just putting my two cents in. What say you?

I believe JJ himself in an interview made the comment about playing volleyball at the YMCA, but later laughed it off as a joke.. I was under the impression that the whole thing was just a joke

I would prefer The SWatt Team infinitely more than Bulls On Parade. I would prefer anything to BOP but The SWatt Team is a good name on it's own. Not sure what the other 10 guys think though...lol.

Not a misprint. Jacksonville’s time of possession was 16:43.

Yeah, I have never been a fan of "Bulls on Parade" as I hate the band Rage Against the Machine who came out with that song years ago y the same name. So I already didn't like the song and band and IMO, it seemed an obvious choice and therefore "un original" if you will.

I'm not too sure about the "SWatt Team" either but maybe that will grow on me. I heard JJ doesn't like to be called JJ SWatt as he feels it makes him sound one dimensional (they mentioned that on 610 yesterday so that is my source on that).

It's getting kind of ridiculous, much like what Rockets fans/announcers are doing. Bill Worrell and Matt Bullard try to pin nicknames on every single player on the roster, and fans follow suit.

Let's not do that.

Interesting arT. I believe Sunday they said the texans led the league last year with 31 batted balls down in 2011. So far I think jj has 5 by himself and I think a couple more are added by the team. Not a bad start to 2012
