AFC South .. that cake looks to be turning to mud

Titans and Jags are still winless.
Indy got a win, but is still suspect.
Houston has two very impressive wins.

My only reservation at this point is that Luck is IMO the real thing and we're going to meet him twice late in the year. There's two ways to look at this. Positive outlook is that by the time we play him regardless of how successful he is we'll have film on him. Negative outlook is that by the time we play him he could very well have his legs under him and be starting to get comfortable. By the time we meet him the game might have slowed down considerably from his perspective.

Now Gabbert and Locker I'm not worried about. At least in Gabbert's case I've watched enough bad quarterbacking from David Carr to know how this ends. Gabbert looks lost and one bad play away from unraveling all the time.

Not even Luck can derail us. I was flipping between our game and the Colts-Vikes. He's not as special as Manning, folks.

He looks a lot like a more mobile Drew Bledsoe...accurate, good arm, commands the offense well.

Luck could develop into something special. But I still doubt that it will happen this year. As I posted in another thread, the Vikings team that he beat is the same team that barely beat the Jags last week

Looks more like Mississippi Mud Pie to me. Mmmmmm delicious!

6-0 in the division is attainable if we want it. I have my doubts about that last game at Indy though. We may be playing our backups that game.

Throw in the fact that the talent level on the rest of the roster is pretty bad, and I'll worry about Mr. Luck some other year.

I hate that the schedule has us playing Indy twice so close to the end of the season. Division games should be more spread out. And yes, if we have clinched stuff, look for backups and conservative play.

Only one I'm slightly concerned about is @Indy, only because that place has bad mojo for us and it's the last game and we might be resting our starters again. But it's only a slight concern.

At this point all I'm worried about is injuries and other elite teams, especially in our conference. I'm really glad to see NE and Balt. losing some. Yeah, I'm worried about Luck in the future, but his team doesn't scare me.

Hey toronto, honest question. Have you ever heard or read CJ take any of the blame for his performances? Everything I've read has him blaming other areas for his dismal play. This is a latest comment from him.

I'm surprised he was able to speak that eloquently. In short, I see a player that doesn't want to get hit, doesn't hit holes with any authority and appears to be the latest example of a player that played for his his big contract then began is disappearance into the abyss.

He's about to learn why the NFL doesn't guarantee contracts. He may have gotten his signing bonus but I've seen enough the last 18 games to suggest this is not a player I'm interested in building my team around. I simply don't see the effort. When I watched him in his rookie year, he hit holes with abandon, played with a ton of joy and make something out of nothing a lot.

Sadly (well not for you guys but for me) this team looks like a trainwreck. The playcalling is grade-school level and the personnel, expecially on offense, looks like it wants to be ANYWERE but the football field. This offense is more predictable now than when Les Steckel or Norm Chow was the OC. Its that bad. I remember when people were laughing at the team's choice of Chris Palmer, and now I know why. If I can see and guess the play that is being called, imagine pros that spend countless hours in the film room feel. I'd be shocked if the team wasn't a quiet laughingstock right now in opposing teams' dressing rooms.

When your defense spends 43 minutes on the field and through two games has been outscored 72-23, there is nothing good to say. With Detroit and the Texans next, I'll actually be shocked if the team isn't 0-4.

It appears the 9-7 mark last season is about as fraudulent as a 9-7 record can humanly look.

Thanks. I figured it was still the "gettin paid". I hadn't seen any of their games this season to verify that was still the case. I wonder how long they're going to keep giving him paychecks? I kinda feel sorry for Munch, but I quickly realize y'alls losing is what's best for us.
