Thanks for including all the scores. I'm a little confused about what they are saying. We average 23 ppg, our opponents average 20. The Jags put 17 and 20 on us. Indy 7 & 10. Buffalo 33. Detroit 30. Denver 29.
Now I'm thinking our defense is going to regress a little stat wise. & 20 ppg would have still made us #8 in 2011. But I wouldn't have expected 4 teams to put ~30 points on us. Denver, Green Bay, Buffalo, and Detroit. Green Bay. I could see it if we were playing at Lambeau, but I figured the home field advantage would help us out a little here. Denver & Buffalo, never crossed my mind & no, I don't see Jacksonville scoring 17 & 20 against us. Offensively I was expecting on the higher end of 20 ppg.... something like 26 or 27. Tj started what 8 games for us last year? Six? & we averaged 23 ppg (ranked 10 with 23.8). With a healthy Schaub, Aj, OD, & Arian, we should be top 5 (25.4 ppg in 2011).

The Bengals are going to lead their division @ 10-6 (unless he's just listing them alphabetically). They play in a division where all four teams had a top 10 defense in 2011 so they're playing a top 10 defense at least 6 times in 2012.
& we're going to go 9-7 against at three teams that won't finish .500 I'm not buying it. |

The Texans share their division with a Titans team that barely missed the playoffs with a 9-7 record (and also beat the Texans last season). A 9-7 record for the Texans this year is all-too plausible. Nobody is questioning whether the Texans have a talented roster. The question is whether the team has a head coach who is capable of winning 12 or 13 games in a regular season and then at least three games in a row in the playoffs. |

But, they see the AFC South as having only one team over .500 & that team is only one game over .500 The Bengals haven't done anything this offseason to help their team substantially more than the Texans have & their head coach has not shown the ability to win 12 or 13 games in the regular season in recent history any more than Kubiak has. They're going to be playing the Steelers & Ravens (who have shown the ability to take a team deep in the playoffs recently) & the Browns, who I believe will be tougher than either the Colts or the Jags in 2011. But the Browns can go 10-6 playing the AFC South, NFC East, the AFC West (we're supposed to lose to the Broncos who are going to be 11-5, the Chargers are going to be 10-6), & if he's saying they'll win the division, that says they're going to have a better division record than the 10-6 Steelers. But we can't do better than 9-7 when the rest of the teams in our division are below .500 ? It's not that he thinks we'll be 9-7, I can see that, but I expect the Titans to be 8-8 or better. I expect the Bengals to be 9-7 or worse. I'd have no problem with his predicitons if he had Baltimore at 10-6 & Cincinnati at 9-7 |

Prisco is strange with his predictions. He has the Pats going 16-0.

Prisco has the AFC South going 9-31 (11 games under .500) outside the AFC South. The AFC South is not strong. It finished 6 games under .500 in 2011. But, it didn't get 5 games worse in the offseason. I would give every team in the AFC South an extra win, and maybe 2 for Houston and Indy.
