Kubiak and Smith say that after seeing Posey in the Senior Bowl, they had no concern that he might be behind other rookies in term of development.

"He looked like himself," Kubiak said.
"I studied him real hard as a junior, and after watching him in that all-star game he looked like a better player than when I saw him as a junior.
I really liked what I saw."
In the Senior Bowl must include practices, most coaching/staffs (unless they're actually coaching) are gone by game time, leaving contingent skelton crew of scouts on hand (my understanding), maybe Texans are exception to this rule? We as fans have only limited exposure to practices (what the network shows us) so its generally an incomplete grade. In the game we get to see how practice transferred to playing speed, how fact prospects picked up NFL coaching, stuff like that but still its only one game. People have all kinds of opinions, like after watching any game regarding how some players performed, here is one example form Walter Cherepinsky

DeVier Posey, WR, Ohio State
Did DeVier Posey think the Senior Bowl was on Sunday, or something? He played like he was sleepwalking through this game. He dropped a couple of passes and stopped his route on one occasion, resulting in a Kirk Cousins interception. I don't see how Posey can be selected prior to the sixth round at this point.
http://walterfootball.com/seniorbowl2012game1.php with regards to in the game grade, hence I doubt Texans really elevated his grade based on his performance in the Senior Bowl as much as his performance all week in practice & previous tape from past seasons, IMO.

Same UDFA's. Still cut Jacoby.

I'm not upset at the haul that we got at all. I love what we did overall, but I would have loved this even more.
I wouldn't be upset with your haul but missing OLB don't you think?

They must watch the all-22 tape

And I'm sure they watched everything.

As far as the dropped pass and the INT are concerned, I've already mentioned them.

The more important thing, as you said, is to see his playing speed.
He got open due to his ability to get seperation with a wicked plant-and-cut at the top of the route.

Maybe.

And I know a lot of people don't agree with me, but I think Nading is a good player. I'd have no qualms with Nading and Braman backing up Reed and Barwin. I haven't seen a whole lot of Braman, but the potential seems to be there.

Honestly, last year I liked Nading just as much and maybe a bit more than Reed. This year though, I think Reed will likely be the better player if he works hard over the off-season.

I'm not a huge fan of Mercilus, but the guy doesn't suck. I think his upside is higher than Reed's though.

I'll agree with that Rey, I watched him make some great plays for the last two seasons. Heard his name called quite a bit. He didn't have that many sacks but he sure flushed the QB into someone else's on several occasions. I think he'll stick around for a while. Damn good depth I think.

Barwin mentioned he thought highly of him. Good guy to go into combat with.
