1 - Nick Perry OLB USC Replaces Mario Williams in the OLB rotation...can't have enough pass rushers and the Texans are too thin with Barwin and Reed.
2- Mohammed Sanu WR Rutgers Early mocks had him going to the Texans in the 1st round...but I think he lasts until the Texans pick in the 2nd. 3- Mike Martin DT Michigan Works into the rotation with Cody and Mithchell 4a- Michael Egnew TE Missouri Gotta love those 4th round TEs! 4b - Sergio Kelemete G Washington - Good depth behind Caldwell and Smith 5 - Audie Cole ILB NCState - Special teams depth and challenges Alexander and Sharpton 6 - Keith Tandy CB - West Virginia Special teams gunner / secondary depth 7 - Devon Wylie WR Fresno State - "Wiggles" Takes PR duties from former Texan Jacoby Jones |

I like 1 and 2, great additions to the team. I'm not a big fan of Martin, I can't explain why, but he is growing on me a little. I have to give him credit for hustle and agility. 4a is ok, I'm not sure we take a TE in this draft but maybe. I like 4b, good depth. I really like 5 and had him in some of my recent mocks but I don't see the need now that we just signed 2 ILB FA's last week. I don't know anything about 6 and 7 but don't see the need for more late round CB's, we've got lots of those already. Overall not bad, I could live with it, maybe change 5 & 6 but that's just nitpicking.

Should have noted in my original post...I tried to go with what I think the Texans will do rather than what I would like them to do. (I like Fleener @26)
I think despite all the WR talk, the Texans will go D in the 1st depending on who is there. I don't think there are that many game changers at WR to take at #26. I'll be surprised if the Texans go WR but not disappointed. On the rest of the picks I looked for Texanny guys...couldn't find a Colorado State guy that fit, but there is still the UDFA pool... If I had to go with my "favorites" I'd go 1 Coby Fleener - gamechanger TE. Kubiak will know how to use this guy 2 Jared Crick DE Nebraska - I think he would be in the rotation at DE and eventually take over for Antonio Smith (add to the Cracker Sack Defense) j/k 3 Juron Criner WR Arizona 4 Ben Jones C Georgia 4 Tom Compton LT South Dakota 5 Trenton Robinson FS Michigan State 6 Case Keenum QB Houston (I have seen him as7th round/UDFA but I think he might go before this spot...) 7 Devon Wylie WR Fresno |

Love this mock
I would rather pick Marvin Jones or A.J. Jenkins in rd.2. (More of a deep threat) Although with Sanu's 38 in vertical he would be a weapon in the red zone. All of the rest of the picks are great. The Texans should be so lucky to have the draft fall this way. Love the Cole pick. (Great value) That guy is a smart, intense LB that would be a great fit on the Texans front 7. I would even try to draft him at 4.B. He's not a need pick, but is a great value pick. IMHO |
