True, the kickoff returner is less important now. Holliday would need to prove that he can do something on punt returns.

I still have no doubt that Holliday could be a top 5 in the league kick returner. He has not really had a chance. He was hurt all last pre-season. He just needs to get healthy and get the chance to field 5 or 6 kickoffs and see what he can do.

He will have to absolutely show that he can handle punt return duties too though to justify giving him a spot.

I just didn't like the comparison to Jacoby. Two different types of speed. One is a fast NFL player, the other is a borderline world class sprinter.

I think we're in violent agreement. We both agree that unless Holliday is hell on wheels as a kick returner (and probablybackup punt returner also) there will be no roster spot for him here.

And as good as Manning is at returning KO's .... its an accident waiting to happen.
