Every guy mentioned is a possibility. Nothing out of left field yet.

I'll say Fleener if we go offense and Shea M (OLB) if we go defense but it's a crap shoot.

So far we'd do well with any mentioned. I am surprised at those predicting a defensive player. I would have thought most would say a guy for Gary.

I'm going to go out on a limb and predict a trade down. The Miami Dolphins pass on Tannehill at #9 realizing that he's not a good value there and fill another need instead, possibly Michael Floyd-WR. Miami trades back into the bottom of the 1st round at #26, worth 700 pts. on the trade value chart, to get Brandon Weeden-QB. Houston gets their 2nd round pick at #42, worth 480 pts. on the trade value chart, and #73 in the 3rd round, worth 205 pts., for a total of 705 pts.. Houston now has two 2nd round picks, two 3rd round picks, and two 4th round picks.

2-42, Bobby Massie-OT, Winstons replacement, long arms and great size.
2-58, Brandon Thompson-DT, rotates with Cody, allows the move of Mitchell to DE, and replaces Cody in 2013 when Cody's a salary cap casualty.
3-73, Marvin Jones-WR, Jacoby Jones replacement, nice size, smooth athleticism, plays the slot or outside, good routes, and great hands.
3-76, AJ Jenkins-WR, ensures Jacoby is gone, similar to Jones but faster.
4. Brandon Washington-OG/OT, great size and good mobility, plays either OG spot and can fill in at RT if needed.
4. Nigel Bradham-OLB, good size and good speed with great college productivity, good depth behind Barwin and Reed.
5. Ryan Lindley-QB, good size and strong arm, needs to work on accuracy which he gets as QB#3, depth with potential.
6. Randy Bullock-K, Turks replacement.
7. Brandon Bolden-RB, Wards replacement and a good pass catcher from the RB spot.

Got to go for the value, as someone who hasn't watched any college ball I can only go on others' opinions, and from what I've read I get the impression there isn't as much immediate impact likely to be available on the O side, apart from maybe O-line where we have very specific requirements that may be better suited to later picks and also tends to take time to teach (how many guys have come in and looked great straight away in our blocking scheme? Wade Smith).

@ WR I'm minded to go for quantity with Kubiak's coaching, he doesn't like to put rookies in there straight away, and gets the most out of the hard-working lower talent guys where the physically gifted have failed to have what it takes.

Its going to be an interesting draft, these guys could go any number of ways and improve our team, whatever they choose though they have got to nail it. I like what I read when people talk of adding great depth at OLB with the versatility to play ILB, I think thats a great pick if they get quality there.

You mean Rackers replacement. Turk was the Punter.

I agree with this and will add that Amini guy as the 4, I think will most likely to be drafted by the Texans at 26 according to my own premonitions. I also think if one of the Alabama LB's falls to us they may be in play. Hightower can play inside and outside in the 3-4 and Wade will find ways to keep him on the field and max out his versatility.

Now that's the way to step up! I think the only two spots you missed are back up center & maybe we have one already on roster and FB. Both of those could be an UDFA. Question, you think Lindley will fall to 5? That would be a stellar pick there.

Fleener is a total Kubiak type pick. I'm also scared of taking WR's that aren't clear cut top 10 picks.

Baldwin wasn't good from last year.
Demaryius Thomas has been ok, but isn't up to WR #2 numbers. (Of course he had The Tebow thowing to him.)
Dez Bryant should have been a top 10 pick if he wasn't a knucklead.
Maclin's good, not great.
Harvin's ok.
Hakeem Nicks is probably the best of the guys drafted 10-32.
Britt might be good if he had a QB and could stay healthy.
Ted Ginn Jr. - bad
Bowe - Good
Meachum has a lot of pub, but only 141 catches since being drafted in 2007.
Craig Davis - Terrible
Anthony Gonzalez - bad
Santonio Holmes - Good

That's everyone back to 2006. Better mix than I thought. You don't see a lot of WR drafted in that range though. The TE's have been good.

Thanks for setting me straight, I did this one last night and I was tired.

BB, I think we sign a FB as an UDFA, I think Caldwell and Smith are our backup Centers. As for Lindley, he should fall to the 5th but probably won't because of the premium put on the position.
