The Texans have traditionally been awful against tricky and mobile QBs. Remember when we played Cam Newton last season? And VY?

The last thing that I want to see is Tebow in a city like NY. You thought Tebow mania was bad this last season, how bad will that get if Tebow is in NY? I'd rather see him in a small market like Jacksonville.

Mike Tannenbaum held a post-Tebow trade conference call on Wednesday night. Perhaps the most prominent theme of Tannenbaum’s comments involved the Jets’ big plans for the Wildcat package with Tim Tebow at the helm, and Wildcat aficionado Tony Sparano coordinating the new-look offense.

Tannenbaum insisted that the Jets “believe” in the Wildcat, and repeatedly called the offensive set “very difficult to defend.” Tannenbaum explained that Tebow will be at the controls.

“We have a vision for the player, we have a role for the player,” Tannenbaum said. At least twice the Jets’ general manager referred to Tebow as a “dynamic playmaker.”

From all indications, the Wildcat will be a huge part of the Jets’ 2012 offense.

Wildcat infatuation isn’t a new development at Jets headquarters. Head coach Rex Ryan wanted to run the Wildcat more as recently as late last season. Ryan even spent an entire week practicing the Wildcat leading up to an early-December game against Washington.

On game day, the Jets rushed seven times for 26 yards out of Wildcat formations, and beat the Rex Gr0ssman-led Redskins.

So in the Jets’ minds, at least, the Wildcat is actually far from dead.

Why all the Tebow hate? Just because he's not ashamed to admit he's a Christian? The media is a brutal, ugly business IMHO, and most of the negative attitudes stem from them. What exactly has the boy done to cause such nastiness. He's a QB in the NFL who wants a chance to prove he can succeed. He's not the only player who kneels and says a prayer of thanks to God above!! I just don't understand why so many fans detest him.

For a while, I didn't like him, but then I realized that it wasn't him or his on-field performance that bugged me. It was the media glory he seems to have always received.

Once I had figured that out, I moved past it. Still not a Tebow fan, but his media exposure for pretty good athleticism and winning, despite poor QB play, no longer grates my nerves.
