$10k for the facemask. IMO, he deserved a penalty for the mistake, but that was not at all flagrant or anything and the penalties are getting absurd, especially since they seem to be picking on one of our own!

you remeber when we played the jags the first game and one of their players was pretty much ripping fosters head off it was a very good photo and very clear and it never got called. why didnt that guy get a fine ?

This one facemask alone wouldn't bring a fine. It's Smith's previous transgressions that made this one co$tly. 4th fine this year? Bill Romanowski would say that that's a lot.

yeah but come on, he got fined for hitting the QBs helmet, haha and he barely touched it. The game we all used to love is slowly dying.

In the near future it will be football tag. When u are about to get tackled ur "vest" will light up so you have to stop. yeah thats where i see football headed too.

yeah its B.S. Pretty soon they will review every game and find all the penalties and errors. And the next time the 2 teams play they will make sure that each team gets what they were so wrongfully screwed out of.

Due to 3 holding penalties by the recieveing team in the previous game these yards will be taken off the end of the run

Facemask used to be a penalty and not a fine. So did a hit to the head with your helmet. With Peyton Manning out, ticket sales are down in Indy so the NFL has lost a bunch of money. They want to protect their babies. Disgusts me.
