We can get louder. I know we can.

And even more importantly, we can get quieter on offense.

Fans need to police ourselves.

I wish we had a short chant of some kind that is easy! WAs at new Orleans game and they chant kind of to a tune, We are coming to get you! Their stadium is so loud and the whole place is chanting that! It's short and EASY'. Steph, you have connections! We need something like that going in to playoffs! We can start practicing now!!!! Someone come up with something and let's get going!

Proof positive that "noise" is "piped in"!!!


I know that you know, 'Blue Crew' comprises a good percentage of the "Bull Pen" AND I know, that you know, we are always LOUD.....

Except on offense of course. #DumbassesThatAreLoudOnOffense

That song is "Krunk," by the Ying Yang Twins. I dont like rap, but I love the feeling when Krunk cranks out in the Superdome.

We play it after a Touchdown, and actually it always follows "Second Line," a Jazz song you would associate with Mardi Gras. Louisianians traditionally wave tissues or even towels and do a free-style jazzy dance when Second Line plays, and usually parade in a line. All tradition.

Its easy for us now, because of years of tradition, even during the years of suckage. (Who Dat actually became the big thing during an 8-8 season.)
We can basically make any brassy Jazz song into a fight song.

I think you guys should play up the Tex-Mex thing. I would be Kickers and Mexicans. (Yes, I know some of you are really yuppie transplants from out of state. Hey, we're not all Cajuns and Black People, either. Im actually a Mexican.)

But seriously, I would crank up the Tex Mex theme. I saw a Texans fan at the Superdome in a Battle Red and Steel Blue mariachi outfit, and said, "Wow, thats outstanding." Sombreros and Cowboy hats could become your "cheesehead."

I would play something country like "Hicktown" and alternate it with something fthat sounds like Emilio/"Como La Hare." What if you got somebody to redo those songs with Texans lyrics, like they did with "Krunk?"

You gotta do something with ZZ Top too! You should use ZZ Top like MNF used Hank Williams. And I'd play something that sounds like Kiss/ "Rock & Roll All Night," especially during critical parts of the game.

These might not be what you have in your personal collection, but the point is, to get a THEME. The Fleur de Lis was a symbol of France, and French influence hundreds of years ago, but now, what do you think of when you see it?
You think of the Saints. Just like when if you saw Mardi Gras stuff and heard Jazz or Zydeco at a sportsbar, you'd expect to see us.

You gotta get a THEME. It gets people more into it. You want "Bob from Seattle" who moved here for his accounting job, and got tickets from the office... (sorry, I know, I know, thats a bad stereotype, and I was wrong.) hahaha.) ... you want Bob to show up in face-paint, dressed as a Battle Red and Steel Blue Pancho Villa, with cowboy boots, ready to hoe-down to "Big Balls in Cowtown." (google it, young'uns.) Throw in a Columbia blue rabbits foot-- as an homage to Houston history. huh??? how bout that? Now! Bob knows hes not there to "network" or talk stocks and bonds. He's there to BANG THE WALL, go AAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!, and RAISE HOLY HELL!

Our OWNER parties and dances with a blingy gold umbrella. I swear he looks drunk sometimes. If HE's that crazy, what do you think its like in our Terrace secion? (our nosebleeds are like Cleveland's Dogpound.)

anyway, just my suggestion. You guys could totally do this, and it would raise
Reliant's electric factor even more. (the next best thing to moving back into the Astrodome)

One of the things I mentioned in this piece is that I really wish they would get rid of "Rock and Roll Part 2" from their in stadium song list. The version they play is likely a cover but it was made famous by Gary Glitter a convicted pedophile.

And grossness aside, it is the most tired song ever played.

Personally, I think if we were to replace it with else celebratory, I'd like to hear ZZ Top. Lots of good stuff to choose from. HOUSTON band.

And I'm not so worried about loud. I've heard Reliant get loud. It was nice for the corporate seat folks to join in.

I worry about quiet. That's what I want the radio stations to promote. QUIET on offense. That drives me nuts.

They will be able to use that Offense at Work quiet jumbotron things for the next two home games but they will certainly be counterproductive if there are significant road visitors during the playoffs. I am telling you, just about every time that jumbotron sign went up during the Steelers game, those fans got louder.

If Colts fans can make it church quiet on offense, we can too. It's just going to take practice.

We MUST have the Texans Reliant PA guy/song person not playing songs when WE are on OFFENSE. Keep it quiet.

If you or someone around you drinks the beers in the tall aluminum bottles, get two of these cans, empty of course, and bang them together...Makes one helluva racket! And it doesn't destruct any stadium property!

This is our time to get RELIANT the toughest place to play in the NFL...Here is our chance. Get people around you on their feet, peopel will respond. We will get em going up in Section 637!!!

would you believe I know the guy who plays the music on the PA? I dont know if he has any control over what
he plays or when. It might be pre-dictated already. Also, I believe the Texans "First Down!" is sponsored, not sure of it. I know the Saints have a
sponsored "First Down, Saints!"
