I also think leaning on Foster & Tate is the same as "not changing a thing"

Had our OL played the first half the way they played the second.... Tj wouldn't have thrown the ball 44 times. Had Tate not fumbled the ball, maybe we go up 10-6, Tj wouldn't have had to throw the ball 44 times.

But if we're down a couple of scores, or the games on the line, we'll be throwing the ball.

Never hinted at throwing anything away. Why not try and attack a D and really see what you've got? We might face the Pats or GB and get in a shootout. I'd rather lose a regular season game answering that question than have a one and done playoff performance answering that question. The Texans flat out stole one from Cincy. The team played bad and, by all rights, should've lost. To say otherwise is denial. I'd rather push the envelope now than in the playoffs. We have a garaunteed home game, regardless of seed. Definitely shoot for the highest seed possible, but get a little crazy with the offensive play calling and lean on the running game and defense from a position of strength rather than weakness.

What makes you think Gary doesn't know what he's got? He designs the game plan based on what he think he's got.

Maybe I'm not understanding what you're asking for... it's not like we've had a game where we did not try to stretch the field. The second half of the Jacksonville game..... maybe, but we started that game throwing downfield, at least there were plenty of opportunities.

If we face the Pats or GB we're going to play our game, not theirs. We're going to control the ball on offense & take our shots when they present themselves. Defensively, we're going to screw up their timing, confidence, & execution & get a few stops. We don't want to get in a shoot out with anybody, not Carolina, not New England, not Green Bay, not New Orleans.

If we get behind, we'll take more chances, as we saw in the second half of the Bengals' game.

Here we go again.

You know in Cincinnati they're saying the same thing, that they should have won the game, that they gave it away? That they didn't deserve to win?

That's a good team that wasn't able to play their offense 100% the way they wanted to. Things didn't go 100% for their defense the way they planned it to.

They try to do their thing & we try to stop them. We try to do our thing & they try to stop us, that's the way it goes.

It's not like New England or Green Bay ever looks good on defense. It's not like they've put together 4 qtrs every week.

Every week, we're answering that question, New England & Greenbay won't be scoring 30 on us. If they do, chances are we're going to lose that game. Cincinnati averages 21.9 ppg. That number was higher before we played them. Just about every team's offensive production versus the Texans is lower than their production versus other teams. That's points & yards.

New Orleans & Baltimore are the only teams that scored over their average against us & I don't believe they would be able to if we played them today.

We put up 412 yards of offense on a team that gives up 314 (average). That number was lower before they played our 3rd string QB. That's a top 10 defense. That's with a 3rd string QB & without our most potent offensive weapon.

This is an opportunity (I think) to perfect the little things, the details. You want to beat New England & Green Bay? If we get better at what we're good at, we'll kill them.

Think 41-7 Houston over Tennessee. 37-9 Houston over TB.

We play Marty Ball, they don't get the ball. & I'd love to see our defense against Aaron Rogers when we can pin our ears back.
