Texans have not allowed a TD to an opposing No. 1 WR in their last 8 games. No. 1 WRs averaging under 3 catches, 42 yards vs Houston. Per Evan Silva NBC Sports, Profootballtalk.com, Rotoworld

For a second there I was thinking:
Jacoby is doing everything he can to become a Pro Bowler Watt is really mad and is taking it out on WRs Then I realized this thread is about the awesomeness that is JJo. |

Jo is the man. Plain and simple the best FA aquisition we've ever had and probably the best FA of this past off-season.
Gonna be wonderful to see Dunta flailing around out there and see Joseph on our squad. |

In all fairness, have we faced any great (or even good) #1 receivers? I can only think of Mike Wallace off the top of my head.

You could say Reggie Wayne, but with the Old Drunkard throwing it... yeah.

We faced Brandon Marshall and he scored a TD with Allen covering him and made a circus catch over JJo that was in near perfect coverage.

Joseph has gotten some mention here and there, but IMO is still very underrated amongst Texans fans. He doesn't take his helmet off and head butt people and he doesn't rack up sacks, but he's the best player on defense IMO. He does his job and therefore, you don't hear his name called too often.

Yeah, I have been pleasantly surprised by JoJo. I knew he was good from watching him when he was with the Bengals, but this season he has looked elite. I'm talking top 5 CB elite. This defense has been fun to watch. In one offseason, we have become a team with a top 5 CB, a top 5 ILB (Cushing), a top 10-15 OLB (Barwin), a top 15-20 safety (Quinn), and a defense that just plays exceptionally well as a unit. They suffer injuries (Manning and Mario) and just keep on playing good football.
By far, this has been the most fun season ever as a Texans fan. |

That was how I read the title too. Jones was literally going around and knocking off the competition.

I thought that he meant Watt was smashing the WR's on his way to the QB.

And he had a great game against us.
Joseph's biggest test will come against Atlanta where he has to worry about either White or Jones with a more than competent quarterback throwing them the ball. EDIT: Here are the top 10 corners right now strictly in regards to catches allowed. 1. Chris Gamble: Snaps-614/ 17 of 40 rec allowed 210 yds 2td 3 ints 1. Nnamdi Asomugha: Snaps-656/ 17 of 31 rec allowed 262yds 2 td 3 int 3. Brent Grimes: Snaps-640/ 21 of 50 rec allowed 229 yds 1 td 1 int 4. Asante Samuel: Snaps-674/ 23 of 53 rec allowed 277 yds 2 td 2 int 5. Darrelle Revis: Snaps-731/ 24 of 57 rec allowed 348 yds 1 td 4 int 6. Sheldon Brown: Snaps-706/ 25 of 47 rec allowed 338 1 td 1 int 6. Ike Taylor: Snaps-685/ 25 of 65 rec allowed 276 yds 1 td 1 int 8. Aqib Talib:Snaps-693/ 27 of 50 rec allowed 463 yds 6 td 2 int 9. Antonio Cromarti: Snaps-688/ 28 of 58 rec allowed 383 yds 5 td 3 int 10. Jonathan Joseph:Snaps-652/ 30 0f 51 rec allowed 348 yds 2 td 4 int Last edited by TdotTexas2Step; 12-01-2011 at 07:04 PM. |

Allowed two receptions for 31 yards on eight attempts. Houston, we have a freaking cornerback.
