One of these years the Texans will make the playoffs. No one knows when, but when they actually get there, this town will go batshit crazy.

I'd love for this team to be good enough to have a bandwagon.
All bandwaggoners are welcome, IMO. Those of us who stuck through the bad times will know the truth.
A championship will never be as sweet for a bandwaggoner as it is for The Faithful.

Well said, man! It doesn't matter if you were a Sunshine Club or Fire Kubiak fan, they were all just different seats on the bandwagon. Both sides are TRUE fans, regardless of optimism, pessimism, or any other -ism that this team caused within you.

That's the thing. The faithful Texans fans tend to take it out on each other, because the fair-weather fans don't bother to pay attention. So we've had these bitter in-fights and causes to call each other out and challenge each other's degree of fanaticism, but the truth is that if you have been willing to engage other fans, you still care about this team and you never left the bandwagon.

No, the true bandwagon is when the team starts winning and even the non-football fans are excited and shaking your hand when they see you in team gear. Those were awesome times during the Rockets two championship runs, when complete strangers were striking up happy conversations about the hometown team, regardless if they had been fans all along or not.

I can't wait for that atmosphere to take over this town for the Texans!!!

I hope it can spread about 90 miles east on 10. This is a Cowboy hellhole right here. Us Texan fans are definately in the minority. I've had Cowboy fans ask me "Why" like they couldn't fathom a person actually being a fan of the Texans. I can't wait, and I know it's going to happen. I'll be a happy, happy fan.

I stick around for Oilers from 1962 until they moved. Began with Texans day 1 but seriously considered giving up if draft & off season did not go well. This means all the emotions I have gone through means I am a band wagon rider if I leave then come back? To be a true fan you have to be "abused"? How funny.

I realize I allow my emotions to get too caught up in Houston sports.
