I'm inclined to believe him at this point in our season. It's not the fact that we lost, but it's all about the attitude (or lack thereof) behind their losses.

There is absolutely nothing about this team that we fans can be proud of and look at as hopeful (except maybe our punting game...but that's even more depressing if that's our highlight!). There is so much bad play that you can't just pin it on one player or group of players.

So far, I don't know if we look as bad as the Vikings or the Ravens, and like them, we'll pull it around to some extent. We certainly don't look as bad as the Lions, who may not. We are also clearly still a better team than the '9ers or the Titans, even if both those teams are currently 1-1.

If we were in the NFC North, we'd be a playoff team. A playoff team with a losing record, but a playoff team. That division sucks beyond all human understanding. We merely suck.

We have played the #1 and #2 defenses from 2004. We also played two teams that combined for 24 wins last year.

remember last year and the year before when we had games on the schedule we expected to win? I think we lost them all but man, that was still pretty cool!

Who cares that they were the #1 and #2 defense? Our performance was pitiful even if the other team DID have a great defense.

If their defense was such a huge factor in our horrid play.. then why did the Bills get run over by the Bucs?

We were supposed to be a better team this year and we OBVIOUSLY are not. It doesnt matter who you play every sunday.. whether they are the best offense or best defense or whatever.. just cause they are good, that is no excuse for playing like a pee wee team. Even bad teams are still getting paid millions of dollars to play PROFESSIONALLY.
