34. Jordan Will Be Drafted by the Houston Texans


California's Cameron Jordan is a perfect fit in Houston.

Houston Texan's newly signed defensive coordinator Wade Philips will be installing his 3-4 defense, in which Jordan will thrive.

If we can draft Jordan and then trade up to get Brooks, I would quickly learn how to do backflips and then do them. Oh em gee

Regarding questions why draft a punter or developmental QB late rounds its because after Texans select Mr. Irrelevant there will be no un-drafted free agent signing post midnight Texans (other teams as well) would be wise to draft for need, make sure they address their needs so once camp opens they have the bodies where they need to be. Aaron Bates would be the Texans favorite coming into camp (whenever that is maybe a very short practice window before they start playing games) he is one of last years highest rated punters, team captain Michigan State, avg. 45 yards per kick also excellent directional location which should improve ability to better control field position & game decisions by Kubiak if he can trust his kicker to pin an offense deep or a defense stout enough to make a stop. There might also be a mad rush for QB's, especially once CBA resolved so identifying their QB this late becomes, well, less irrelevant. Have no inside information to conclude that Scott Tolzien would be Kubiaks target to develop moving forward but he plays in a similar system, so should be able to pick up the offense quickly, decent size/arm strength, smart, accurate arm 72.9% & does not turn it over 16 TD's to only 3 Int's. Also on the move, once possible is free agent to be Matt Leinart leaving only Orlovsky to back up Schaub.
