Where are our "resident football experts" from the message board? I haven't heard any of their opinions on this matter.

Of course I'm sure they'd say, "You guys are just looking for a big name. You all don't seem to know much about the fundamentals of the game."

Default Price Update

According to JOHN CLAYTON of espn.com

Price check: Approximately 15 teams checked in on the availability of former Falcons wide receiver Peerless Price. He's mapped out a preliminary plan. He will visit the Miami Dolphins Thursday and then see the Dallas Cowboys Friday. He has some West Coast visits for over the weekend and next week and he would like to see the Eagles. Price would like to get something done by over the weekend or early next week.

All I can say is look at the 1st two teams that Price is going to visit, one with no QB and the other team was 6-10 last year. It just might mean HE THINKS he is still a #1 receiver when he should be looking for a team where he is a #2.

Casserly said on 610 this morning that they won't be going after Price because of their cap situation.

I heard him say that too. Which begs the question if we got rid of Sharper, Glenn, Foreman, et al, then where is the supposed cap savings? I think he is full of that stuff running around New Orleans myself.

That is the feeling I got. Casserly often uses sideways ways of saying things. Like when we took Ragone instead of Chris Simms. He said something like "I think Chris needs to leave the state of Texas to have success." Instead of, "We really don't like Chris Simms as an NFL QB." The same could be said of D.J. Johnson. I guess he is just "sensitive" to the desires of the fans, so he sugar coats everything.

I don't think so. He was actually pretty testy this morning when pressed on it. Basically told Lance to shut up, cause the question was answered. No cap money. Yet, Indy has the cap space to sign Simon?

Both of those possibilities went through my mind on Casserly. Either a) negotiations or b) not at all interested.

He did get testy when pressed didn't he?

Who's got his td catch against FSU from the Jan 1999 Fiesta Bowl handy on video? Give him some props and get a glimpse of what could be a return visit for the Vols! Life is good on Rocky Top!
