I don't know about Trent Williams playing OG, but the rest of the draft looked pretty good. Rather see a DB in the 1st, like Kyle Wilson or Earl Thomas.

Sean Weatherspoon won't even be there when the Texans pick in the second. Shoot, he might not even be there in the first, after the combine he had.

A top 15 player with the 20th pick and a top 20 player with our 2nd rounder and you would hate that? There is a legitimate chance that both of those players will be gone before our first round pick.

Those guys are smoking crack if they think Sean Weatherspoon falls to us in the 2nd round, there's a very good chance that he'll be gone when we pick in the 1st round. They just lost all credibility with that pick.

FWIW I don't have my eye or heart set on anyone, I just want what is best for the team no matter who that is, I just don't see this draft addressing that early.

We have the DROY at OLB and Diles is probably the most underrated player on our team at OLB and we go and draft another one while we leave the pu-pu platter in our secondary unaddressed? Sure I'm sure all our quality linebackers can cover WRs.

As for Williams, I understand he is a highly rated OT, I'm just not that keen on having our 1st rounder having to learn a new position before he can contribute.

Yeah, woukld rather go BPA then grossly over-reach on a DB just because. That's how you stunt your growth.

Threre's always a balance between BPA and need. While I'm generally a believer in BPA, you can't ignore need.

This year, we are in need of help at DB. Most people seem to agree we need help at both CB and S, and most feel we need "early round" help at each. This mock has us taking 1 safety in round 6 - that's it. If that's all we come out of this draft with (and this is assuming no FA pickups, which could change everything), I'll be unhappy, and so will a lot of other people.

That was the TE that ran the 4.4 forty .

Cherry picking I'd take Kareem Jackson CB in the 3rd and Ben Tate RB in the 4th .

If we draft another TE, I'll probably throw a mini-hissyfit on draft day, 7th rounder or not. I'd rather use that for an uber-sleeper Defensive Back, Punter (ZOLTAN!!!!) or Kicker (Lawrence, Tiffin or the Ohio State kid).

I'm far from a draft guru, but this mock sucks. It's actually worse than what Kiper spews out of his poop shoot and that ain't no easy task.

Interesting that they moved the OT to OG. What I know of the guy, it could be done but why not draft an OG in 2nd or 3rd or my guy Newhouse in 4th? Get a RB like Mathews in first? That mock still had CB Kyle WIlson, CB Devin McCourty and OG Pouncey taken later first round. Wilson/Pouncey would have been better imo.
