to start it out i will like to say this will be my best mock yet! im guna put all i can in to this mock draft.
~~~~~1st round pick~~~~~~ corner Kyle Wilson, Boise State Height: 5-10. Weight: 190 we need a corner. since we dont have daunta so i say this kid will be a upgrade over daunta. he will come in as a starter and he will be a stud. end of story. ~~~~2nd round pick~~~~~~~ safty Morgan Burnett, FS, Georgia Tech Height: 6-1. Weight: 210. we need a safty period so he will become an instant starter and along with pollard we will be great ~~~~3rd round pick~~~~~~~~ defencive tackle Mike Neal, Purdue Height: 6-4. Weight: 302. he had 5 sacks, and will be an upgrade over okoya. ~~~~4th round pick~~~~~~~ runing back LeGarrette Blount, Oregon Height: 6-1. Weight: 245. he would be a steal a chris brown/lt type back that has force. the only reason hes this low is. because of the fight. ~~~~5th round pck~~~~~~~ wide reciver Chris McGaha, Arizona State Height: 6-1. Weight: 199. i wont say he will be our number #2 but will be our #3 wide reciver ~~~~~~~6th round pick~~~~~~ center Erik Cook, New Mexico Height: 6-6. Weight: 315. Projected 40 Time: 5.30. a snag here he only gave up 1 sack the whole year ~~~~~~~6th from johnson trade~~~~~ defencive end Daniel Te'o-Nesheim, Washington Height: 6-3. Weight: 250 Recorded 12.5 TFL and 9.5 sacks. A smart and crafty end who knows how to get to the quarterback. some 1 to work up ~~~~~~~7th round pick~~~~~~~~~ offencive tackle Drew Davis, Alabama Height: 6-7. Weight: 305 Did a solid job at right tackle for Alabama this season. injoy! ![]() ![]() thank you for moveing =] Last edited by HouSportsWriter; 02-27-2010 at 11:01 PM. |
This draft isn't that bad but I don't like that you waited til the 6th round to address interior O-line, one of the biggest needs on the team. OG/C should be address in either the 2nd or 3rd round and then again later in the draft, IMO.
I think the best possible solution to address interior offensive lineman is to sit tight & be patient. A guy who could still be on the board in the 3rd/4th is Eric Olson, C Notre Dame. like his character, polished, would compete for starting Center roster spot, more nasty disposition than Myers, stouter frame & thicker lower trunk to anchor. |
Blount would be nice down on the goaline or 4th & short but dude can't block, is a big target & does not secure the ball. a better prospect in the 4th for the Texans would be Joique Bell, Wanye State or Lonyae Miller, Fresno State. both have good size, cut-back ability & yards after contact.
Well I sure hope you're correct and Dennison miracles the guards with some mushroom magic. The odds and not fate are now stacked against Matt Schaub, if they by pass an up grade with the first three picks.
Okoye is not the DT who may get replaced it is the guy next to him. Chris Brown and LT running nothing like each other.
Not bad, IMO, but I think Blount's not even going to be on the Texans board due to character concerns.
