Round 2: Texans select CB/KR Perrish Cox (Decent size for a CB, and has pure speed) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ggY8z6o2_ZA Round 3: Texans select Lamar Houston Round 4: Texans select Toby Gerhart Round 5: Texans select OG Brandon Carter Round 6: Texans select Jordan Shipley Round 7: Texans select K Hunter Lawrence |

...This draft would be a wet dream. Thomas lasting to the 19/20, Houston to the 3rd, Gerhart to the 4th, and Shipley to the 6th, would be nuts

3 Longhorns? well, I know of at least one TT poster who would be ecstatic.

I'm not sure about Lamar Houston. Don't get me wrong, he is a good defensive tackle but I don't see him as a nost tackle, he's more of an under tackle and we already have that (Amobi Okoye). Everything else looks fine to me, just the # of Texas Horns would surely tick Mr. Bud Adams off.

Yeah with what the WR class looks like this year, I don't see him lasting that far either.

And Silver, he's got 4 Horns in that draft...

Rounds 1,2, and 3 are good. Gerhart will most likely not be available in the 4th round and Carter in the 5th is the wrong type of OG for the Texans. I also doubt seriously that Shipley will be available in the 6th but the K in the 7th is a good selection. Remeber that we have two 6th round picks this year.

One thing I would like to suggest is that the Texans should draft Jamar Wall from Texas Tech in the later rounds and convert him to safety. He doesnt have the speed for an NFL corner(4.5 ish) but if you watch him play he is very agressive and has everything you would want in a safety...well at least if Thomas isnt around by the time the Texans pick in the first. |

i know nothing about nothing, but if we got 1, 4, 5, 6, and 7 in your draft ... i'd do the happy dance. i figure atleast 3 wont be available at those picks however.
i'm curious why many dont think carter fits our scheme. 4 years in pass pro, a directional run blocker, from a screen heavy team. i'm not ignoring the defficiencies that will result him dropping in the draft, i'm just hoping yall arent hoping we draft a chris myers clone because they're the perfect 1997 zone lineman. brown, caldwell, winston, and especially spencer are all 310lbs+ draft picks ... 300lb "try hard" guys like studdard are supposed to be backups while we shape the line.

How about John Mackovic as OC Darrell Royal as HC |

That mock isn't too bad, only 1 problem Dixon will be gone by the 6th round. Anthony Dixon will most likely go in the 2nd or 3rd round. |
