Ticket question about printing

Someone asked me if you have to print tickets that are emailed to you in color, and well, I don't know the answer. I am assuming it's all about the bar code so color doesn't matter, does anyone know for sure?

If by best you mean 6 dudes with 6 parking spaces, DJ equipment large enough for a night club and Directv battling with the exact same thing in 4 directions, than yes, Blue is best

I really like yellow lot myself. I think that the blue lot and the platinum lot is a bit over the top for the stuff you pointed out. I tried to approach a couple of the tailgaters in blue lot only to be shooed away.

Basically it went like this...

Me: Hey! Y'all got a nice setup here! Can you tell me a little about how you all got to this setup?

Them: We ain't got no free beer. Move along.

*sigh*

I don't drink much at all. It's not really my cup of tea anymore. I generally just visit for a few minutes before moving along. I don't want nobody's drinks nor food. I just wanna tailgate and learn as much as I can about my fellow Texan fans. Maybe talk Texans!

One guy actually had a list. If you were not on the list, you were not welcome.

Yellow lot... easily the most welcome bunch overall. Platinum has the Blue Crew and we love them but blue/platinum is pretty much where I've bumped into snobs or corporations. Orange has some inviting people that I'd like to go and visit. We have not visited Orange yet but we will very soon.

Overall... not really enjoying the tailgating too much. I get to the stadium when the lots open at 8am. I eat sandwiches before starting to walk around. I usually give up in frustration by 10am and begin my walk to the stadium and get my free trinket (usually for the first 20k fans).

I go straight up to my seats and watch them warm up, go smoke, tinkle and purchase a souvenir soda before settling in until halftime in which I begin the whole routine again prior to the start of the second half.

I'm leaning towards starting up my own tailgate next season. Maybe try it out once this year with a trailer setup. Throw a grill on there and just fricking play football, games, whatever else we can come up with. I'm trying to get it all figured out because I make the trek from Austin and that's a tough trek to make on a regular basis. I just wanna have fun.

Oh...go for your own setup. Its nice to be able to hang out at your own tailgate...have a few beers/sodas and cook some grub. You don't need anything fancy...or expensive. The key is to HAVE A GOOD TIME.

Oh...one more thing...you can have a good time in ANY lot. Choose the one you are most comfortable in and enjoy.

I park really close to where you setup. I do that because your tailgate is the first one that I hit up everytime. I've even shotgunned a couple of beers. What an experience. I'm definitely grateful for your setup. You're fairly easy to lipread when you preach too! Jared Allen is a *****! Hard to miss that! Lol.

Cost matters none to me. I can work within my budget. I'm not really looking to spend loads and loads of money but if something falls my way... I might take it up. I'm pretty good at putting money aside. I'm eyeballing an old fire truck right now. I've been eyeballing it for over a year now. Working on getting a lump sum saved up for that. Time is my friend when I really want something.

I know exactly what you mean. Ive only been able to come in for about 1, maybe 2 home games a year since I live in Virginia and every time, I get super excited about my game day experience. I get there early and walk around, but always feel really isolated from the tailgating experience. For whatever reason (and this is probably very much me), I always feel like tailgates are inherently private events held in public. Theyve got food/beer/games/etc but if you're just a fellow fan looking for a good time you're not really welcome. I wouldn't mind chipping in, but as I come in from far away, setting up my own or something like that just isnt feasible. I know I could probably hit some of you up here for some invites, but I guess I always tailgates were like one big open part :/

Well...just remember...big tailgate parties started out as little tailgate parties. It takes time to build a large group. That being said...you don't need a firetruck to have a good time. You can get a tent...a BBQ pit and a cooler...and FRIENDS.

Fixed it for you. We lost our generator and grill this year, but hoping to re-strengthen our tailgate next year after some people have, errmmm, retired.


Ntiro - the reason some places have lists is because the NFL and TABC have very specific rules for companies/sponsors that host tailgates and give out free beer.

The reason the 6 dudes with the night club set up denied you is because well, when it's that much of a sausage fest, do you want more sasuage?

Stick to Platinum and Yellow!

That's exactly how I started. Well, not exactly. I started with no tents, a little bitty kettle grill and a couple of family members. Now we have about 4 tents, a BBQ grill or two, and a few more friends and family. I don't even want to get big. Too much work. You walk by and see some of these large outfits setting up for hours. By the time they finish, it's time to go to the game. We're up in 10-15 minutes then it's 3 1/2 hours of tailgating baby!!!

BTW Nitro, your welcome to a brewskie and some chow any time at our camp. Don't even give it a 2nd thought.

Speedy...you know we are set up in the first 30 minutes of the gates being open. I know what you are talking about though. I gave Steve (Big White Bus on the cement) such a hard time about his tents that they went out and finally got a couple of easy ups...his old tents took at least 45 minutes to get set up. Now they are up and running in a few minutes.
