Bargains aplenty
In a nod to the economy, the Texans will be offering special concessions and merchandise deals this season.

Bottled water will be available for $2, coffee for $2.50 and beer for $5. There will be special $10 meal combos with a burger or chicken tenders and fries. A coke with a hotdog or natchos or popcorn will be $5.

Also, the Inside the 20 stands will offer specials, including a discounted “item of the game.”

“We're trying to keep in mind that people are going through things and don't have gobs and gobs and gobs of money to spend,” said Kevin Cooper, director of public relations.

Reminds me of the way we react to gas prices. We used to be outraged at $2.15 a gallon. If it was $2.15 now there'd be a mad dash, jam packed gas station of people trying to get it.

They are. I think you have a choice of the same draft brands, but it's in a clear plastic cup that appear to hold about 10 ounces. The $2 water is a very good discount though.
