How many years are you an expansion team? That worked maybe the first few seasons but when a team like the Jags can make the playoffs in there second season it gets kind of old don't you think?

The point is that the expansion with Jags and Panthers was set-up for them to succeed almost immediately. They did not have to spend 40% of the salary cap within the expansion draft alone. 40% can set a team back, see Boselli, Gary Walker etc. Their dead money didn't even come off the books until just a couple of years ago. Coaching and the FO certainly didn't help matters in the first 5 years - but to just point to those things is shortsighted.
