This years OTs is more about quality then quantity, unlike last year. After Oher, the rest of the OTs are solid but nothing special.

This mock is going really well and it's relalistic which makes this possibily the best one out there.

With the 9th overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft the Green Bay Packers select:

Tyson Jackson - DE, LSU

Analysis: With the switch to the 34, Kampman will be switching to OLB, leaving a gap at DE.

I was tempted by Everette Brown here but the LB crew as a whole looks a whole lot better than the crew in the trenches so the pick was Jackson. He will be a powerful force against the run and won't have many pass rushing duties, but he will find a way to get himself a few sacks.

Amazing how fast this thing goes with no trades huh? We could probably knock out 7 rounds if we wanted to.

Or how fast it goes when you have folks that are committed, we have already gone through this recently once before, we now have the combine and FA moves fresh in our minds, etc.

The first picks are usually faster because there isn't much changing to do. Later rounds take more time because guys you had planned on taking are now off the board

Nice value pick. Buffalo has a lot of needs, but its hard to pass a guy like Crabtree at #11

Do the 9ers run a 4-3 or a 3-4? It's a 4-3 isn't it? Is Brown going to be a DE for them?

I think you made the right call. A tweener is such a gamble when building a 3-4 defense. A big boy DE that can hold the point of attack from 2 blockers is just more critical when building a 3-4 defense IMO.

I thought it was a 3-4 since they got Manny Lawson to be a OLB pass rusher. But im not 100%.
