That mock has the Texans taking Knowshon Moreno, RB! How much credibility can they have?

I might take a FS since Antrel Rolle should be cut for being a dumb*$$. Did anybody else see what he did during Harrisons' int return in the 2nd qtr? He was standing out on the sideline during the return and Fitzgerald ran into him while chasing down Harrison. Fitz finally caught up to him at the 5 and tackled him into the endzone for a touchdown, but imagine if Rolle is paying attention and gets out of his way. Fitz probably makes the tackle at the 5 and the clock runs out. Game goes to the half 10-7.

Same here. I've gone to a couple of Giant's MB just to read what the fans think as well as looking at what people are saying in different mocks.

I would be very happy with Moreno.

For example, I'm drafting for the Cardinals so I am researching the team and it's needs so that I can make a realistic mock for them instead of just drafting my favorite players.

I dont see any way the Lions pass on Curry. BPA for an awful team.

I think Diehard's point was that RB really shouldn't be considered in the first round or two for the Texans. There are other positions that should be considered before even thinking RB.

While I agree with that, if Moreno is on the board I would take him simply because he is BPA, if he was BPA at the time. The way my board is set up he would be BPA unless someone fell big time.

Moreno fits what we do on offense exactly.

Yeah, if you look at that site's draft needs, it shows us as having our primary needs as DE. Then our secondary needs are RB(f), OG, OLB, and FS. Because of that, the highest rated player that fell to us was an RB(f), so their program had us take it.

However, I disagree with their ratings. I think that DE, FS, and possibly OLB, should be set as our primary need with RB(f) and OG as secondary.

I think it's interesting that they show us as having no pressing needs.

I don't think there's a chance in heck we take a RB in the 1st. We passed on Mendenhall last draft and I would expect the same this draft if a similar situation were to occur.

Agreed. Personally, I'd put OLB as a higher priority than the S positions in the 1st. If a DE or an outstanding DT is not there at 15 I'd look at OLB then the S positions.

I didn't check deep into that site. There is no chance the Texans take a RB in the first. We finally have a good RB and we decide to finally take one in the first round of a draft? Makes no sense.

Good selection. I was torn between him and Smith, I think the bengals are as much a lock to take an OT this year as you can get, and the board should set up nicely for them.

I see Jason Smith as having a more immediate impact from a pass rush protection standpoint, but I think Oher has such a high ceiling. I really like the LT's this year.

I agree. I think this years class of elite OT's are really great, and its hard to make a bad selection with such good prospects.

In this situation, I think Oakland is really only looking at J. Smith, Maclin, and Orakpo.

That's what I've been thinking. How do they feel about Mario Henderson developing as a tackle? Will he be their long term solution at LT or RT? They could have a good tandem with Smith on the left and Henderson on the right.

But since that would be the smart thing to do, they probably will go with Maclin or a pass rusher like yall have mentioned.

What are your thoughts on going w/ Vontae Davis? Asomugha will probably be gone next year and Deangelo Hall was cut? or still with the team. Al could fall in love with Vontae.

Henderson played at FSU and he was decent here. He is more of a RT than a LT.

Not sure about Oakland but Russell showed signs of at least being a capable playcaller and should have a healthy running game at least. Is Namdi does leave will put them ina pretty bad position at corner as well.

Feel sorry for Oakland fans. Haven't really heard if they have decided on a HC.

Agree with both points. A players psychie is part of it. And everything they said in December is Steve Slaton is the man. So now you're going to take a guy, a rookie, and pay him first round money while Steve Slaton is toating the load for the Texans with his third round contract? I don't know about that one my friends. You don't ******* up the looker room. Not on purpose any way. Anything that has a chance to divide the team you stay away from with a ten foot pole....and yes that includes a stud runningback.

I dont undestand this line of thinking. First off I doubt Slaton gives a flying duck what the Texans do with their first pick. Slaton stays healthy this year and continues to play well he will get his money. Secondly the RB position is very important to our offense. Why not have at our disposal another serious offensive threat for depth at a position that takes such a pounding and is so important in keeping our offense going. If Slaton gets banged up and we dont have a good replacement for him teams will unload on Schaub and this team will fall apart.
