This is what we have so far. Let me know if I left you off, or if you want to pick a team.

We will do one after the Super Bowl so we know the order, and then one after the combine. Then we can compare the two and see who's got the insight.

As far as the Texans go we will have to have a drawing. I say we get a MOD in here and let them randomly pick one of the participants. MOD's?

I am very interested in reading but not representing team. Suggestion? Would it be ok to give player's position after the name. Most us will know the guys in first round such as Crabtree but maybe not others not so well known to occasional watchers of college games such as myself.

It would probably work best if we go about this as we have in the past. This is the forum mock from before the 2006 draft. One thread is devoted to nothing but the selections. In the post where the selection is made, an explanation of the pick will be present (why this guy was picked, how he fits the system, the role he'll play the following season, etc). After a pick is made, the title of the thread is updated by a mod/admin to reflect who's "on the clock".

Meanwhile a secondary "discussion thread" is made where observers can leave their comments regarding the draft (love the pick, hate the pick, etc). If we follow these procedures, this forum mock will serve it's purpose -- enlightening the board of the needs and draft habits of teams that we don't hear about on a daily basis and elevating the general knowledge of the players available for this draft.

Excellent! I realize some are opposed to any discussion prior to certain events such as combine but part of the fun for me is to compare guys based on info from so called experts and also from the guys on this MB. It is all, even the actual games, entertainment for me. I still have what if? moments such as what if I had invented the internet rather than a former VP?

They actually have the first pick of the third round. They swapped 3rd rounders in the Williams trade.

It will be either 2 or 3 rounds. Most likely 3. Trades are encouraged. This will be getting started once the Super Bowl is over. That way the draft order is set.Also, by that time the Senior Bowl will be over and there will have been a great deal of change in some players' draft stock, which will contribute to the realism.

Why hasn't anyone taken the Texans yet??? I'd love that pick, but I'm sure someone who is a Mod or vet would be more deserving of the honor.
