Bull Pen Stuff..

I thieved this from the Texans site. Is this stuff new for '09 or what? I just sit up in my lonely little perch so I don't always catch the dramas and news.

Houston Texans Bull Pen


Obnoxious behavior will not be tolerated anywhere in Reliant Stadium. However, fans within the Bull Pen are encouraged to stand throughout the game, sing, cheer and otherwise support the team in an enthusiastic manner and therefore this section may not be a good fit for children or families.

Soon to come are Bull Pen Pubs for Bull Pen Game Watching parties for away games at a sponsored bar with drink specials for Bull Pen members only!

Bull Pen Committee:

A small group of Bull Pen members meet with the Houston Texans staff on a regular basis to talk about how to maximize the overall game experience for everyone. Members brainstorm on how to start traditions and how to spread the word to all of sections 116 and 117.

Maybe it has... I have never had anyone offer me cheap booze since Lake Charles and I have never heard anything about any meetings.

Pretty much a statement that has been there since day one Roc. However, after 7 years the Bullpen is not quiet the ulitmate FAN ZONE that some other stadiums have. The BP is very fit for kids and families, as of right now. I see them there every Sunday, plus, I bring my own grandkids. They have learned to adjust. In all honesty, I think the BP is one of the safest area's in the stadium. Very well monitored, overly obnoxious fans are shown the door pretty quick. I've seen improvement every year with the standing up, cheering, and increased enthusiasm, and it seems to be all in fun and support of our team. The Bullpen game watching parties never really worked out. The committee is still in existance, but, we need to be more involved to be effective. JMO there.

I can offer cheap booze, some sort of meeting (GoTo or personal) and put up a Texans banner for ya.

Except for the Lions game where they "forgot" to put up the railing next to me near the camera. If I took one small step to the right, I would have fallen 15 feet.
I will admit, the hotline got about 6 people over there frantically putting together the railing after my phone call.

That came and went. It was done for one year (in 2004 I think) at Baker's street Pub, then it was disbanded. We received a BullPen VIP card good for one free drink. Budwesier also showed up with lots of goodies. Sure wish they'd bring that back. (Word on the street is the Texans wanted too much $$$ from the hosting bar)
