Since the 2-14 team, the Oilers remained in Houston for two more seasons where they went 7-9 under Fishers first full season and 8-8 in his second season. After the move to Tennessee, Fisher had two more 8-8 seasons. To summarize:

You're joking right? I still get on people that admit they attended any game during those 2 lame duck seasons. At that point they were already the Tennessee Oilers just being forced to play in Houston because Bud had no plan. He never intended on moving the team and was just using Nashville as a ploy to blackmail the city of Houston again. When that failed he had to move and had no where to play so he had to stay in Houston for a couple of more seasons. When that went so bad he decided to go to Memphis because Nashville wasn't ready for him. The Memphis fans didn't support the Oilers at all. The people in Nashville didn't care either until Bud was forced to change the name.

So with that in mind hardly anyone cared in Nashville until the team became the Titans. So in many's minds that was the first real season and they just so happened to go to the Super Bowl that season.

BTW, those people in Nashville aren't too supportive when the Titans aren't winning. They still haven't been tested too much however during a couple of poor seasons they were no showing like crazy. Just let them go 10 years of miserable seasons and you will see how supportive those fans are.

Were the Colts playing their defensive starters? If so then its a fair comparison between Young and Sorgi. Anyways, if the Titans are a Super Bowl contender why did they get blanked? Don't Super Bowl teams have backups that could start for other teams?

BTW I had to work away from home, out of state a few years after we got the Texans and also had to scramble to find places to watch the games so I can appreciate your frustrations. Hopefully they will get more exposure in the Austin area soon, but like with a lot of things that will probably have to wait until the Texans develope some winning ways.

I was at the Steelers game, too (/w Jungle Bob). Got inside the 'dome around the end of the first qtr. I do not apologize to anyone for being a HOUSTON Oilers football fan until the end.

It's not our fault that crabface decided to be a greedy, soulless bastard and sell out to the highest paying John (like the prostitute he really is at the end of the day). But no, the dude is a coward and has absolutely no loyalty to hometown fans or the memories they hold of the players that made his teams great. Titans fans can wear that smugness all they want. I don't care about them, no matter how much lower they want to act than Cowboys fans. [At least the Cowboys actually have something to be proud of in their history. No, my beef with the Titans franchise is that slimy, fat, piece of crap owner. In a small way, I kinda feel sorry for VY being suck in Satan's web...until, that is, I remember him running around our stadium yelling "this is my house!" over and over and over. Now I just look forward to the eventual meltdown when Adams forces the VY issue to the forefront. Titans fans better hope this is the year, because it won't be happening with VY anytime soon.
