i'll come out as one of those that liked rogers. I watched a lot of him in college, liked what i saw. Thought he was going to be very good. hadn't really seen much of andre at the time. shrugs.

AJ is special and one of the best receivers in the league, but the guy has been hit hard the last few weeks. I hope he holds up for the entire season with the pounding he's taking.

It was rumored that Casserly liked AJ's potential over Rodgers skills. Of course most scouts rated AJ over Rodges at the final wire. We got lucky and Detroit drafted the local kid and AJ fell in our laps and lived up to his potential. So yes Casserly was responsible for drafting AJ but not without a little luck and help from another GM that had/has a worse record than him.

Ok I reread youre post and see what you were saying. Roy Williams. You are correct Casserly was in love with Williams.

From someone who has criticized AJ in the past for not playing like an elite receiver should be playing . . . he is now playing like an elite receiver.

I'd say he is now the best receiver in the NFL today.

Having said that, with the hits and the beating that he is taking, it's only a matter of time before he goes down. If there is one thing that has irked me about Schaub, is that he hangs his receivers out to dry.

He doesn't need to be taking the beating that he is taking. At this rate, it won't be long.

Really and truly, Schaub hasn't been putting AJ in a bad place, as much as AJ has just been open in the middle where LB's and Safety's like to headhunt. These past few weeks (Except for the first half of the Miami game) Schaub's ball placement has been pretty on the mark.

Think of all the nasty hits David Carr gave AJ. Those were for like 3 and 4 yard gains too. That's what really beat up Andre. I don't worry too much about him and Matt. Matt's more prone to the interception.
