Titans to consider donning Oilers' throwback jersey in '09.

I think it's long over due.

Bud should never have been allowed to change the name from the Oilers.The Bengals,Steelers,Oilers & Texans should be in the same division.



The Central had the best rivalries in football,they should have been preserved & enhanced by keeping the Oilers name alive IMO.

Forget Bud. The players were the Oilers & as well as the bad I have some great memories.

I could see them playing their retro jerseys against the Steelers, too, because of the old AFC Central rivalries. That would be strange to see after all these years.

I can't blaim the Titans wanting to hold on to the Oilers history. I mean could you imagine rooting for a team named after the Inbred Children Of Uranus.

A team's record has nothing to do with the team's name. My point was that Sonny Werblin and Leon Hess were smart enough to change the name when the bought it - from ICOU to the Jets.

I don't think that the league should let Bud do something like that. That would be disgraceful of Bud to do something like that.

The way I see it, I will never look at the Titans as the Oilers. I never have, and I laugh every time any fan out here tries telling me that they still have support for them because of the Oilers, because the Oilers died when Bud left and went to Tennessee and changed his team to the Titans. The Oilers are no more, and I really don't see how or why the league would let an owner with a long history of being an ass do something as low as this just to take a shot at the fans.
