That's how many points our offense needs to put on the board to beat New England this year. QB on down, this O is not built for that.

With J.J. Watt, this defense looked a lot better than it really is. Without Watt, our defense may only be average.

J.Jo., Brooks Reed, Connor Barwin all regressed in 2012, as did Danieal Manning.

We need to get more out of these guys, and we need figure out a way to get our guys in better positions to succeed against top level QBs.

Do you realize that of the 4 losing teams, the Seahawks were the only one that tied with us in offensive scoring?

The Texans scored 2 TD's after Belichik called off the dogs and started playing prevent defense. But carry on about how the Texans were the best losing offense in the playoffs. Stats are for losers, scoreboard is all about winners.

I agree. All the games this weekend were shoot outs. Texans showed up to gun fight with a sling shot ( ie opening kick off to the 10 yard line and settle for a FG).

We had Mario & Demeco. Had we not lost those two (salary cap issues aside) we'd have made it through this.

I understand the Mario issue, I never said anything about letting him go to Buffalo. I said our biggest need became outside pass rusher & we need to address that in the offseason. They went & got Merciless...... which looked good on the surface, but I never expected that much drop off in both Barwin & Reed.

& we've been reeling ever since Cushing went out. Keeping Demeco would have fixed that problem right there. He's not as good as Cushing, but he's a lot closer than Mr Alexander.

Not really.

Belichick would have isolated DeMeco on a RB just like he did our dime store ILBs. DeMeco's strong suit was NOT pass coverage.

Rudd did a hell of a job on coverage IMO. Some might think i am crazy but i would like to see him and cushing in the middle next season. I like Rudd and what he brings to the table.

this one is on wade. he didn't practice the team against the no huddle and the def was not ready so often near the red zone.

hardly any team is going to score more than 40 on a playoff pats team.

How do you practice against a no huddle if your offense can't run it effectively?

the time the defense lines up took forever. def was still getting set when brady got the ball from the snap. look at the 3 touchdowns. that last td nobody touched the rb (except for kareem in the endzone). also that quick pass 1 on 1 soft coverage. terrible...

We easily had the worst QB in the final 8. And you could make the argument that SF have TWO that are better than Schaub. Pretty sad when you consider how many years he's been in the year compared to some of these guys.

Teams that win in the playoffs score pts. See ATL 30, Balt 38, NE 41 SF 45. Are you seeing a trend here? You are a stats guy? It's time to fix the offense.

Brady wouldn't have scored 41 points if we had a good day from Mario Williams.

I don't know if 28 points would have been enough though.

I'm not saying we don't have problems on offense, just saying our problems on defense was not having a replacement for Mario Williams. I said last year that chances are either Brooks Reed or Connor Barwin were not going to maintain. I didn't think neither of them would.

I also didn't expect to replace Demeco with Bradie James & have Cushing go out early in the season.
