I am a volunteer for the Carnival Ticket Sales Committee representing the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. RELIANT PARK ADMISSION TICKETS: Don’t waste time in line!!
If you do not have a Rodeo ticket, you will be required to purchase a Reliant Park admission ticket to enter the Show grounds. Avoid the lines and pre-purchase now! Admission tickets can be purchased using the same order form as the carnival packs.

The fun card is simply a card that has a barcode on it. The card is "loaded" with a specific number of tickets for rides at the carnival. When you go to get on a ride, the carnival operator scans the card to reduce the number of "tickets" are left to use.

Its a modern day ticketing system.

It will get you onto the grounds, but does not get you into a tent as the bulk of them are private parties. The carnival is open and there are some general admin activities but you would still need to acquire an invite if you wanted access to a tent.
