Did anyone see this? Found it on the Pats board.

I mean...... damn. I thought they were in trouble, but this is like switching QBs mid season when you've got a Super Bowl contending team. Doesn't make sense. & then Cladwell? REally? Really?

Man they got too much talent on the offensive side of the ball to put it into capable hands.
Hope they keep Caldwell for a few years.

The Harbaugh's are schmucks. Neither will ever win a Championship unless they get their emotions under control.

You'd gotta handed to Harbaugh brothers. They don't hesitate when it comes to make their teams better. Cam canned in Baltimore and Alex Smith been replaced in SF. And these brothers both ended up in SB.

I wonder if Harbaugh let Cam call all of the plays and never override him? Cam was criticized for never running the ball enough, but doesn't the head coach have to take some of blame for that?

Whispers are the owner pressured this move. Cameron was one of Harbaugh's best friends. But his playcalling was risk averse at times and bizarre at others when Ray Rice would disappear from the game plan.

So what was the problem with Alex Smith really? I mean they were winning.

Kaepernick adds dimensions to the game that Smith never could. Kaepernick stretches the field with his arm, can evade the rush, and can break a big run. Defenses are forced to keep a spy on Kaepernick. |

Throw Kaepernick in there & he'll rip off 181 yards on the ground to open up the running game, he'll extend plays to help the receivers get open & make it easier on the pass pro, then he'll pick up third downs & keep the chains moving to negate poor field position & give the defense time to rest. It's not just the mobile QBs that are able to do that. Schaub was able to keep the chains moving & led this team to plenty of 80+ yard drives. He just hasn't done much of that this year, imo waiting for the rest of the team to step up. But you can't wait, when the ball's in your hands, you've got to do something now.

Which is why when anyone suggests replacing Schaub with him, they should be slapped upside the head.

Making tough, sometimes unpopular choices are what leaders do. They usually put their all into what they do and are very emotional with the results they get either good or bad, because they have so much invested. This rubs some people who are OK with being medicore/avg the wrong way. Because those people are unwilling/unable to lay everything on the line to achieve the most success possible. We have now discovered which camp you are in. |
