He is going to have a tough time making the roster. Probably the most competition to make the roster will come at the S spots.

I don't think we signed him just to be signing someone. Rember, he is a 1st class runner in addition to trying out for the S position. I have a feeling there's more to this story than meets the eye. Could we be looking for a trade? I'm not certain what the rules are in this kind of case. This is another one of those players listed as a project. What are we going to do with all of our projects?

I'm looking forward to seeing how this guy progresses. He's definitely one heck of an athlete. May not be ready in time to make the roster, but maybe a practice squad candidate. He seems like the physical part shouldn't be a problem, just the mental, but stay tuned.

As mentioned by Houston Fan, he may be a candidate for the practice squad. I think that Casserly wanted a high number of 6th round and 7th round picks and undrafted free agents because I believe they increased the practice squad from 5 to 8 players. Some of the projects may also be eligible to be 'hidden' on the PUP list.

Lord is a great candidate for the practice squad this year. Namely because he'll protected from other teams in that it's unlikely a team would put a 1st year position player on their roster.
