Getting ready for the playoffs

Trade deadlines are over.

This is the time of the year that our real studs start going to the sideline so they can get saved for the playoffs.

This means that it's time to pick up waiver wire bums and hope they can score points.

Any suggestions? Let's help each other get paid.

I'm pretty lucky this year in the fact that most of my players won't be in the playoffs.

I'm guaranteed one of the top two seeds and as long as I handle up on business this week, I should have the number 1 seed. I'm really hoping I can get out of the first round because Houston plays Denver week 16 (my leagues championship game) and they both have god awful defenses and explosive offenses.

As far as players to pick up I would look at Jonathon Stewart and Mike goodson. They may or may not be available in your league but JStew is starting to pick it up and he has a great matchup with Arizona week 15.

I'm picking up Chris Ivory as insurance on Chris Johnson. CJ has been killing me the last few weeks with the Titans falling apart. Arian Foster, Thomas Jones and Mike Goodson are my other RBs, but given that it is such an important position, I gotta use another bench spot on it.

FYI, the Texans DST might be worth a look in Week 15 and 16 against the Titans and Broncos.

I'm starting to think the Broncos offense might get it going again. That is, if the in-season HC firing pattern holds. Maybe they'll play their asses off for the interim HC.

There's no fixing that defense, though. Those guys are horrible.

Tashard Choice is still available in my league. I'll probably put in a claim for him even though I'm 10 out of 12 in the waiver order.
