Default Who Do you THink the starting LBs SHOULD be this season?

With all this trade, cut talk of linebackers, who do you think should be the starting 4 this season. Im all for babin-the dolphin-Sharper/Wong-Peek. I think that Dom is hopefully going to be going to a speed attack, much like the ravens have had with their LBs. I think with Seth in the middle and healthy and hopefully some DE help this season, we would see Peek and even Babin in double digit sacks. The speed of that combination would be scary.

He's like a broken record, but I do think Babin and Peek should be our starting OLBs with Sharper and Greenwood on the inside.

Babin/Wong/Greenwood/Peek

Hopefully we get good value for Sharper. It looks like his days are numbered.

I would like to see Peek/Greenwood/ Sharper/Babin. I'm with you cincykid, I think Peek would be explosive if the coaches will keep him in.

Trade Sharper for draft picks!

Here's a LB combination I haven't seen mentioned :

Babin... Cheatwood.... Greenwood.....Wong/Peek.

At the time of the Cheatwood signing, the Texans said the decision had not been made whether he would be playing inside or outside. I took this to mean exactly as implied - he was capable of playing either way.

I've been trying to do some research on Cheatwood. Who is this guy?

I haven't found a lot on this guy. But he graduated from Ohio State in 2001/2002. He had quite a bit of playing time but was never was a permanent starter, never finding a permanent position. I believe he started out as a safety, moved to LB and ended up at DE (over a four year period). He was not invited to the combine, but ProFootball Weekly had his speed estimated at 4.85 and gave him a final grade, just prior to the draft, of 4.78. He was not drafted and ended up in Canada with the Hamilton Wildcats. There he played DE and developed into a good "sack artist". Search this forum for Cheatwood threads. Quite a few Hamilton Wildcat fans had comments on what a good - and popular - player he was for their team.

We were talking about him here. If you take advantage of the quick search function at the top of your screen it is very useful. This was a huge thread started by one of his Canadian Football fans.
