Stewart Now A Raven - Houston Texans Message Board & Forum

ESPN is reporting that QB Kordell Stewart has agreed in principal with the Baltimore Ravens on a one year deal to be the backup behind Kyle Boller. Is this a good move for the Ravens & Kordell? What do you guys think?

I think its an excellent move for Kordell and the Ravens. Kordell- Because call it a hunch I have a feeling Kyle Boller wont do good this season which will mean Kordell will get some playing time. Ravens- Because he's an excellent backup to pick up the slack of the Ravens of Boller gets injured and if Boller doesnt do well

Kordell is going to do well in Baltimore. The Ravens D will allow Kordell to manage the game better.

At this point in his career for Stewart signing anywhere is a good deal, particularly with the QB market packed.

As for the Ravens...who knows? I know they like Boller and want him to be the "Man" for a few years. I think that they would have been better off hunting for an upgrade (ie. Kerry Collins). With the Ravens offensive system any average QB that concentrates on not making mistakes and letting Jamall and Ray-Ray take carry the load could do OK. Kordell will do ok if he gets trotted out there if Boller goes down.

it depends if he will go back to slash or still try to be a pocket passer. It was fun to see slash, sad to see him try to just drop back It was like a cheap version of vick wheen he was slash
