ESPN primetime just aired the Texans Charger lowlites. Was parker really in on the go ahead TD, his feet looked really really close to the white. And the last Davis fumble??? Sure looked like the knee was down.

It was clearly a fumble for Dom if you look at all the camera shots and they never really had a camera angle that could prove the WR was out of bounds.

I was at the game. At the moment of the play, I thought parker got both feet down and the Chargers knocked the ball loose just before DD knee hit. I guess the refs saw it like I did.

Sitting there, I questioned whether his left foot ever actually touched the ground at all. It appeared to never make contact with the ground. I haven't seen any slow motion replays of it yet. I imagine the right call was made.

Both plays were correctly called, but if you don't place yourself in the position for an official to make that sort of call, its all mute! DD has to hang on to the ball, and the secondary can't get beat like Kerry in November! We need some pressure on the QB, and defense needs to be placed in more agressive situations!

Texans better find a passrush before next game, and on the flip side the offensive line (who did fine run blocking) better get a better pass blocking scheme, or we're gonna be in the poop all year.

I had my eyeballs on the feet of the Charger receiver in the endzone. It was clearly a touchdown.
The Texans pass rush better get some bite, Drew Brees looked like Dan Fouts out there today. The third down conversions the Chargers kept clikcing off one after the other was the main reason we lost. The Texans are lucky they only lost by 7 with those 4 turnovers. Had it been against a good team, we would have been blown out.

We just simply beat ourselves out of a win. We were controlling the ball the whole game and didn't have to punt till late in the third period. As for the two plays...Big D.Davis dropped the ball and the big board showed that pretty clear but the TD was questionable because he needed to have control of the ball when both feet were in. And in my humble view, he didn't have complete control when he was in...but it was close and maybe to close to overturn with a reply. The play that really got me was the great play D.Robinson made was outstanding Defense ...the arm contact rule was put in to stop the hand checking and hard hits after the 5 yard bump(Thanks to the Pats and the Pats putting it to both Rams a couple of years ago and then again this past year against Indy) but it wasn't that at all. He made a great play to knock the ball down and that horrid call set up a score for the bolts.
I have to give it up to the team for their fight because the answered back most of the time just not the final time....when we do that our team will be something special. Geaux Texans, James H. Baton Rouge, LA(dag...4-3 now and two L's in a row...what is going on???) |

The Lions have one of the best pass-blocking O-lines in the league. Harrington is rarely ever sacked. If we get a sack next week, it will be hard earned. The downside (good side for us) is that the O-line is not nearly as good at run blocking. We should try to blitz a lot more in this game or Harrington will pick us apart.

I had the best seat in the house on that TD (sideline view - right on the endline). He was clearly in. Excellent body control by the receiver - bang bang toes down. Those of us sitting in our area knew long before the replay review was finished that it was indeed a TD.
