They rank us at 28 out of 32 and say we will be lucky to win 7 because we have indy and tennessee...that accounts for 4 games but we play 16 right

28. Houston. The Texans have only gotten better since their expansion season, but more than seven wins is unlikely in a division that includes Indianapolis and Tennessee.

I am tired of athletes and fans complaining about lack of respect. I don't care if The Sporting News doesn't rank us high. That means absolutely nothing.

BigD don't get offended. It's called paying your dues. And in the media's eyes, some that is, we haven't paid any. Don't worry they'll be singing our praises before too long.

Yeah, who cares about Sporting News...it's a rag anyway. You're right...we play 16 games. Anything can happen on any given Sunday. We should walk away with our first "W" this Sunday afternoon. Although we shouldn't gauge the strength of our team on the basis of a win over the Chargers.

Respect means everything

We dont get much at all and that sucks

There is a reason we are getting our first prime time game(that we did not pay for) this year

There is a reason why like all our games start at noon

There is a reason the free agents dont come knocking on our door wanting to sign with us over bigger cash offers from other places

Respect. when we get some, stuff will go alot better for us, being upset that we dont get any is ok.

well we dont get any respect and we do deserve it. When the Cardinals and Chargers get more media attention than us.. yah.. that is lack of respect. why does it matter? i dunno.. why does anything matter :P.. why does it even matter if we win or lose? cause we love our team and want to see them succeed.. and that means winning games and getting respect.

so lets not throw a hissy just cause some people want to see us get respect from the media.

Respect is earned and not given....If I wasn't a Texans fan I wouldn't pick them to win more than 6 games because most likely I wouldn't know any more about them than what they did last year. There's no experts in media, the only experts are the coaches and GM's of any team. I really don't care who from the media rank us, even if they rank us first and they say we are going to win the superbowl I would say they are stupid and don't know what they are talking about.

Honestly, I can't put us at over 6 or 7 wins until either the offense or defense establishes itself as good. 8, 80, and 37 look primed to break the offense out, but they have not done it yet. The defense has more overall talent, but Walker and Payne have to stay healthy plus Babin and Robinson are rookies.

The Texans have gotten to the level of team that if the Colt and Titans have heavy injuries or don't play to expectation that they could have advantage of a situation then become this year's surprise team, but giving the Texans more than that is going too far until the texans show it on the field.
